Works even better than Windows!
No issues at all
Bottom text
Doesn't even launch
MANGOHUD_CONFIG="cpu_temp,gpu_temp" MANGOHUD=1 %command%
I played 3 days ago. It used to work flawlessly but idk wtf happened now after an update
All the issues I had are also present on Windows so its not a Proton issue. It runs just as well as on Windows
If you are using KDE Plasma, disabling the animations and the effects with ALT+SHIFT+F12 will show some annoying bugged Origin windows
The game runs flawlessly with no issue at all, except for that annoying Origin windows. They dont compromise the quality of the gameplay anyway and the game easily outperformed windows
Install Proton BattleEye Runtime from your Steam Library if it doesnt automatically
The game runs smoothly with some minor famedrops here and there. Nothing game-breaking
(Reported experimental version: Proton Experimental (after 6.3-8))
-noeac as launch option
Put -noeac as launch option
The first time you load a map it stutters a lot but after that everything's going to be fine, even after the current session
Sometimes it doesnt load the multiplayer and you need to restart the game
Wait for the game to list all the servers, click one and after 3+ seconds connect to the server by CLICKING TWICE ON THE SERVER'S NAME. Clicking on the "connect" button and joining a game too quickly will result in a crash
The experience is not the best but it finally works! The experience isnt even that bad, you just have to suffer at the first launch of the game
Works OOTB
Gotta note that I specified "Use steam runtime" on the settings menu in Heroic. I don't think it's a big deal but it's worth noting
Sometimes the window flickers while switching from window to fullscreen
Tested on Heroic Games Launcher. Mangohud works
-nojoy -vulkan
Having a second monitor in extension mode will result in the game's window constantly opening and closing itself (without crashing)
Multi-monitor configurations are basically unsupporteed
Playable with even better performance compared to Windows. Only playable disconnecting secondary monitors
Using the native client the performance are much worse because of OPENGL. CSGO is a really lightweight game so it doesnt matter that much
You can play and the game runs flawlessly but ONLY the linux version. If you use Proton the game says that it cant find steam. USE -nojoy -fullscreen AS LAUNCH OPTIONS!!
Works fine on Native but not on Proton
If you are on Arch Linux or some Arch Based Distro, just do
sudo pacman -S steam-native-runtime
If you are on a Debian based or Ubuntu Based and it does NOT launch use the following Launch Options: nojoy -novid -fullscreen -vulkan
The game runs perfectly with both Proton and Native Linux Runtime. I recommend to use the native Linux Port
The game runs perfectly for both Windows (Proton) and Linux. The game has a native Linux Client. With Proton some maps dont load so USE THE NATIVE LINUX CLIENT!
On Proton some maps dont load so USE THE NATIVE CLIENT
Demo does not launch
Tried ProtonGE
It just shows the following error message: D3D12Core.dll(DirectX Agility SDK) didn't be installed on your Windows. Please update Windows"
If only they new I game on Linux lmao
It runs as better as it runs on Windows.
RIP EAC is the death of Online Multiplayer
The multiplayer doesnt work because of EAC
Works out of the box on Proton Experimental
The native version doesn't even start. The game works perfectly out of the box with Proton
Everything High with DX12 the game runs at a stable framerate, between 40 and 60fps on an average of 50fps. On Windows the game runs at stable 60fps most of the times
The game runs perfectly. The latest Proton Experimental build (bleeding-edge) brought a significant performance boost
Works like a charm
The game is still in early access and therefore it's still unstable. It runs just like it would on Windows. It runs bad but not because of Linux
Proton 6.21-GE-2
Video settings -> Switch from DX11 to Vulkan
Flawless experience
Just switch from DX11 to Vulkan on the settings and you are ready to go
Occasional stutters
Works fine
Install and play.
Works flawlessly out of the box on Proton Experimental
I play it on Epic Games (Heroic Games Launcher) and it works perfectly with no issues at all
Only with Antialiasing over SMAA x2
Works fine even on Epic Games (Heroic)
The game runs as expected but non in FullHD. 720p runs perfectly
The new anticheat implemented with the Parabellum update completely broke the game

It just doesnt launch
I tried the latest ProtonGE, Proton 7, Proton Experimental. It just doesnt work and I dont know why since I literally played it yesterday. I even checked the game files and reinstalled it
Sometimes it crashes at the startup but it's fine overall. Use Vulkan or OPENGL for the best performance
It's the game's fault tho
Works as expected
Using Vulkan as the graphics API, linux runs a little bit slower but nothing noticeable outside a test enveroinment
No Linux-related issues. All the issues I've found are in the game itself and not linux-related. You can reproduce them even on Windows
The game is badly optimized but not a Linux Issue btw
Doesn't connect to the game servers
Tried many proton versions
There's no apparent reason. Couldn't find anything online
Works Out of the box on Proton 6.3-8
Better than all that multiplayer games with intrusive anticheats systems
Works perfectly out of the box
Running on Heroic Games Launcher so on Steam should work perfectly too I guess
You cant adjust the resolution (even on the native Linux client)
Lower framerate but still playable
If you try to use proton you CANT play online so make sure to use the native linux client. The native Linux port has much lower performance. You cant use MangoHUD because the anticheat kicks you
Use the native Linux client. You cant adjust the resolution
Install the BattleEye Runtime thing. When you Launch the game there is the weird glitch of when Proton is unable to load a video with some proprietary codec but it doesnt affect the experience
The performance are literally Identical to Windows. I only tried the NO-VR mode
THEY ARE GOING TO ADD EAC
The game works flawlessly now, but they are going to add EAC in the next update. We need to do something guys, we cant let them kill the Linux Support! Linux Gamers of all countries, unite!!!
Works Out of the Box on Proton Experimental
Performance identical to windows
