Runs better than on Windows and displays 144hz (Proton 8.0-5)
The game runs great on the latest stable version of Proton without further tinkering.
Crashes after first underwater level
The game IS playable from start to finish, there is no need for any launch option but it crashes after the first underwater level. In order to progress, after finishing "hostile reef" (first underwater level), when the game asks you if you want to continue ("load next level") or return to hub world, select "return to hub". Then, in the hub world, talk to firefly(or whatever that is) that lets you choose which level you want to play and select "Deep Ocean" level. From this point, game works great.

On launch, you need to select the language and resolution. Trackpad is not mapped by default and the test is too small for touchscreen.
Boots with a resolution config window. Picking 1280x720 60HZ fullscreen works fine. Picking the same resolution windowed kicked me back to the steam menu.
Windowed may not be supported.
Touchscreen required to close the setup window.

Le problÚme de stick ne serait pantoute une problÚme dans un jeu comme Fire Emblem, mais ça TUE un platformeur.
Quand j'incline le stick gauche avant, Kao change de marcher a courer au hasard. Ăa n'a pas passĂ© sur Windows. (When I tilt the left stick forward, Kao randomly switches between walking and running. This didn't happen on Windows.)
Ma manette est configurée comme un manette Switch virtuelle, mais les boutons AB (pas XY?) étaient comme sur Xbox. (My controller is a virtual switch controller, but the AB (not XY) were Xbox style)
Les caractĂšrs pas anglaises n'apparaĂźrent pas dans le lancheur, mais comme il n'y a aucune langue comme le japonais ou russe, c'est tiguidou...
(Non-English characters don't appear in the launcher, but there's no languages like Japanese or Russian, so it's OK, I guess.)

The game crashed with a pop up erorr, and immediately closed after I clicked Ok. It happened on the Underwater World level, where Kao shoots down a "hunter" fish, and goes to activate the third torpedo.
