Even though it's in early access, the huge potential of this game is already evident. I can't wait for it to finish development!

Without FSR, performance degrades extremely quickly, saturating the VRAM within ten minutes or so. By enabling FSR (Quality preset or Custom with 80% scaling ) performance improves significantly and no more slowdowns or crashes occur.
Crash with FSR disabled
Keep in mind that the game is in early access and therefore the optimization of the graphics engine still has a lot of room for improvement. With the patch released at the end of July I noticed a great boost.

Works perfectly, but not optimised yet.
Occassionally, the game would freeze whilst launching. Closing and restarting fixed this with it never happening outside of the launch cutscenes.
The game works great. I have an RTX 3080 on Fedora 40. As of July, the game isn't yet optimised. I was playing at 80FPS on the "Quality" graphics preset (1440p)

The game is beautiful, but I've experienced frequent crashes with total system crashed. I'm confident in the next patches.
Stuttering
Frequent crashes that force the computer to restart.
At the moment, very unstable.

Had some headaches starting up, but now running the same as it was for me on Windows
With a System76 laptop, had to switch specifically to using the NVidia graphics - before that, I kept running into graphic card issues when loading the game - was getting an error out from Wine about "gst_audio_info_from_caps: assertion 'gst_caps_is_fixed (caps)' failed". Also disabled broadcasting since the error seemed related to streaming (was able to get into the game while using integrated GPU after disabling Steam broadcasting, but had a bunch of color weirdness still), although I may test re-enabling that with the graphics now set to NVidia specifically

Works very well between occasional freezes, where the graphics stops updating but the games appears to keep running
The character customization seems more fragile than the base game, otherwise it is possible to play for shorter periods of time before it freezes but doesn't recover no matter what I do

Crashes on every cutscene, Crashes if more than one wooden barrel is broken at once, Basically the game is unplayable for me atm
The game itself runs fine for me but it is impossible to get past the tutorial for me since it crashes during cutscenes or if more than one object is broken at once.

Works like a charm
The game is still in early access and therefore it's still unstable. It runs just like it would on Windows. It runs bad but not because of Linux

Works like a charm right out of the box!

The devs are making a lot of hotfixes for performance(optimizations for pc overall, it's not a linux problem).
It has to do with game optimization for PCs, since it also happens for Windows from posts of other people.
Please note that the game is not 100% optimized for PC yet, but in ran really good for me.

lock 40 fps/ tdp13_14 / ingame 70%render scale - performance option - rednder to 40 fps
Just some place. generaly very playable. baterry around 3H

Game runs flawlessly on GE-Proton9-4 without any further tinkering. Installed, started and played for 5 hours straight without any issues. Game performance is not the best, but given similar reports on other platform, it's difficult to attribute it to the compatibility layer.

Game runs really smooth, nothing particular to notice. However, the intro screen (basically where you see Moon logo etc, BEFORE you even get to the new game menu) is super laggish for me. Once it loads into the main menu, everything goes buttery smooth :)

Nothing to add here…game runs fine :)

Works out of the box, minus unoptimizations
Game not optimized well, but still playable
As far as the linux translation goes, it ran smoothly. No tinkering, using the recommended proton version had no issues whatsoever. Only problem is optimization, but that's the fault of the game in its current state. Still definitely playable for me, was getting about 90fps on a 6800xt.

Text is generally tiny, lowering the resolution (see below) makes it completely illegible.
Due to overall performance issues, the game often takes a few seconds to stream geometry.
The game cannot maintain a stable 30 fps in any scenario, staying anywhere from 15 to 25. Lowering the resolution to 640×400 and 50% of render scale in game settings + FSR in steam deck settings helps a bit, but the game is still way under 30 fps. It doesn't help that the graphics settings in the game are extremely limited --- you can only select from 4 presets with no fine-grained controls.
The only positive is full Steam Deck controller support and no input lag even when the game's at 15fps. The developers publish hotfixes daily, and promise better graphics settings with performance improvements, but no significant changes yet.

The game works flawlessly out of the box!

slight stuttering in the first minutes of gameplay of new scenes
Didn't try other proton versions, as said little stuttering probably because of shaders. But its not that big of a deal. Other than that the game runs pretty smooth, graphics look amazing. I've played for about 50 minutes wihout any crash or major problem.

Cool and fun game, soul-like lover will love it
sometimes crash if adjust screen-mode from full-screen
Game playing still buggy because I use EA version since it's launch.
I guess game playing experience will better if you use higher-end video card like 4060 or newer

gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Some crackling during cutscreens
Had two hangs in the game while switching screen modes, never crashed while playing
The game would not launch via proton experimental, but was fine with GEProton8-32.

Running OK on PC with the performance on par with Windows.
Audio sometimes mutes on alt tab - need to restart the game to fix.
Loading stutters are a game issue and also happen on Windows.

Haven't been able to get anything saved
Experiencing crashes after the big brawl on the ship deck. It was crashing at an earlier place, so I think this is not driver-related and probably just a matter of a memory leak or something similar.
Work without any issue but performances is not that good for now, but it seem similar on windows.

Color flickering on objects such as grass, but not always.
Also reported on Windows so most likely not proton related

Works well, but the performance needs optimization
Beautiful Game
You might receieve "No Signal" when booting up the game, simply just wait.

Runs 10-20% slower than on Windows

Cryoutilities 2.0 default optimisation
Locked to 30fps
There are 3 places that you can set FPS and recommend you set them all the same or you will get stuttering or frame drops. Under display you can change max FPS from unlimited to 30 and then under graphics the target frames should be set to match. Finally under steam battery/performance menu set FPS cap to 30. Plays well at native resolution so turn off FSR. Probably could get more frames if turned down resolution and used far but very playable at 30fps.
I do have cryoutilities with recommended settings - not sure if it makes a difference.

Limit to 30 FPS in Steam Deck's settings, change default render scale to 100 % but allow dynamic resolution down to 40 % X axis and 80 % Y axis. Target 33 FPS with the dynamic resolution for a bit of headroom for more consistent frame timings.
Input latency is pretty high even for 30 FPS.
FPS drops to sometimes single digits in cutscenes. Outside of cutscenes it can drop below 30, but it's generally okay.
Works fine without tinkering. GE-Proton allows for opening developer logo video to properly play and mentioned graphics settings improve frame time consistency.

It works as expected, at least in the first minutes of gameplay. I'll update my report if problems occur down the line.
GE-Proton is required for all videos to work (so far I think that's only the developer logo at the beginning). Otherwise it should work fine with recent vanilla Proton versions.
Alt-Tab make the game crash

ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 gamescope -h 2160 -e -f --hdr-enabled --hdr-debug-force-output -- env MANGOHUD=0 gamemoderun %command%
Need to disable steam input if using a recent gamescope.
Was only getting ~60-100 fps at 4k on my system
This game looks stunning in HDR if your system supports it and you have a good monitor. Performance is acceptable on my hardware for this type of game, but that isn't saying much. Everything seems to work out of the box without tinkering, just make sure to disable steam input if it isn't working with gamescope. I've only played the first few minutes. I'll update if I run into issues.

Early to say, but as long as you don't care if the textures are at the minimum capacity it should be good to go.
The game was going really slow until I set the graphics on performance mode and the render scale to the minimum. This made the game playable at the cost of quality textures.
Just at the start of the game, the intro video isn't loaded but the game runs after that.
The game is pretty new and Early Access so I bet it also needs some work on the devs part. Note that this report is just temporal until I have played a bit more. I'll probably update it eventually. I think with better or different cards may work better.
Crash after tutorial.

The game is playable. Severe FPS drops during cutscenes. Since this is a day1 early access report, I hope the performance can be improved.
Used CryoUtilities
Most of the severe frame drop happened in the cutscenes.
FPS around 28-40, some dips when fighting multiple oponents. Severe frame drops during cutscenes (between 1-10fps).
