Works excellently. Best used with Steam's stable proton versions
So far this is the most stable game ive reviewed on protondb. Best used with the most recent stable proton version. 0 bugs, 0 stability-problems, 0 audio problems, its amazing.
Unfortunately, Glorious Eggroll's "GE-Proton" caused problems where every hour or so, my monitor would go pitch-black and i could hear gameplay ongoing. After 20 seconds th e screen would turn back on. Again tho, this only occured on the GE-Proton, not steam's default proton.
Works great out of the box
Works right out of the box
Running great, no problems at all.
Played through the game with no issues.

Game ran perfectly
I completed this game entirely on Fedora Linux. No issues at all. Ran at High settings 100 FPS throughout.
Out of the box Proton perfection!

TDP 8W
For some reason the FSR of this game is broken, making the game blurry, turn it off and the game runs amazing well and beatiful
At hotel Krat fps can drop in front of stargazer, the rest of the game is pretty solid
45 FPS limit at steam overlay, everything on medium, shadows, textures and reflexes on high; the game looks amazigly bealtiful and runs god damm well. Some people are telling the text is small, It didn't for me, but you can raise the captions size on the options menu.
didn't launch with the amdvlk driver, but worked flawlessly with the vulkan-radeon driver

40hz frame cap medium settings
-Corridor leading to champion victor and near the door inside his arena has frame drops. This is very prevalent on 45 fps and slightly noticeable at 40. Lowering graphics did not help but setting custom gpu clock 1300-1400 seemed to alleviate it a bit.
-Setting high visibility tanks perfomance near the stargazer at ruined hotel krat. Drops from 40-30

Great Souls-Like Game. Love that is runs past 60fps!
Definitely a standard for games that run good on Linux

11W TDP
For great performance and battery life;
- 40Hz on Steam
- 11w TDP
- Medium Graphics Settings
- Balanced setting for FSR2
Gets a few hours of battery life and looks and plays great

Game wouldn't launch on 7-55 proton GE. game started but nothing appeared on proton 9.05, game only worked for me on proton 8.

Flawless
Have fun!

I was able to complete the whole game, but sometimes the game or my whole computer would crash while it was running, in a way which doesn't happen when the game is not running.
Played using proton 9.x - everything worked out the box

Game states "Running" in Steam but does not actually launch, eventually stops "Running" with no user input
Tried multiple suggested fixes found here and none work. It ran out of the box on the Steamdeck.
Works OOTB!, one of my all time favorites!

Runs perfectly!
Game runs out of the box and without any issues

Runs flawlessly even on an aging GPU by VRAM standards
Despite my GPU having a paultry ~6GB of VRAM, Lies of P never once used more than it needed to at any one time. Most games will not garbage collect the VRAM when run through Proton, due to Windows handling it for them usually.
I experienced buttery smooth gameplay and it was a treat.

Sometimes it did freeze and I had to force close it. Other time I got a "LowLevelFatalError [File: unknown][Line: 4075] Retry was NOT successful." error message.
I changed to different Proton Versions. Proton-GE 9.1, Proton-GE 9.2, Proton-GE 8.15 and some official Proton versions like Proton 8.0-5, 7.0-6, Proton Experimental and I tried to not force any Proton version and let steam select the default one. I even tryied switching from wayland to X11 but it doesn't matter what I do, sooner or later it will crash. (within 1-2h of playing). It also seems that these crashes happen more often in some specific areas.

Runs perfectly OOTB
Didn't have to do a thing for it to run smoothly, very enjoyable!

Install and play - just works
I have done one complete play through. The framrate was steady at 60 FPS throughout. I experienced no stuttering, or any form of odd behaviour. The game did not crash once. Got a strong "Dark Souls" vibe while playing - very enjoyable.

Just perfect
From start to finish without any issues, it runs perfect.

Works perfectly outside of the random crashes.
Encountered frequent Unreal crashes anywhere between 5 mins to 1 hour of playing, also present under Windows. Many players reported these and it was just never fixed. Offered solutions didn't work for me.
Outside of the UE crashes, the game ran absolutely wonderfully. Perfect as though native. Despite the crashes I did manage to fully complete a playthrough using a PS5 controller. I used a mod for PS5 button prompts which worked without any tinkering, just dropped the file in the appropriate folder.
Not everyone gets the crashes, so it's fair to assume most people will be fine.

Flawless out the box
On Windows I experienced these stutters when entering new areas, does not happen on Linux
Flawless out the box

Proton-GE version works slightly better

Played it both on Windows 11 and on Ubuntu 22.04 (dual boot). The performance of the game is the same.
bearly noticable
On the first launch (Ubuntu) some lag was present when turning the camera for the first 5 seconds. Maybe has something to do with first time loading. Sometimes you see little graphical artifacts at light sources but they are bearly noticable and infrequent.
Works with no issues at all!
In my case, adding these settings made the game play quite smoothly. With these launch settings, you can even enable DLSS on Nvidia cards.

Marked as tinker due to using proton-experimental, works fantastically without that though.
