Was stable until I got to the chapter 4 cutscene. Consistently crashes after final load screen with access violation error.

Steam for some reason re-downloads (and installs) the game each time it restarts as part of what I am assuming is rebuilding pre-cached shaders.
Fullscreen will make the game crash at extraction and from then on, be unlaunchable. If you encounter this issue, locating the game config file and disabling fullscreen (and re-enabling windowed borderless) will fix.

worked out of box with GE 9-18 though performance was not great
Only hitch is not a linux or steamos issue, but the game does not support d-pad input (also the case on windows) so you will have to use the left stick.

Runs smooth, but needed to specify the driver for my discrete graphics card to get it to stop defaulting to integrated graphics.
At first launch, game may stutter (graphics + audio) until you reach a screen where it detects and optimizes for your hardware.

Have tried both with openmw and vanilla. If vanilla (or any use of MWSE ie via modlists), be sure to add the flag PROTON_ENABLE_D8VK=1 as this is an older game and you will encounter slowness, high resource draw without it
