Launcher is borked. you need to use -nolauncher if it doesnt boot. also id advise to use the arma 3 unix launcher for mods and mod management.
game launcher is borked. Needs to be bypassed or use the unix launcher as replacement.
Works near flawless other than the ingame map overlay is borked with msaa enabled.
running with msaa enabled caused the map overlay/menu to be transparent. if the player isnt spawned in this makes a big visual mess thats nearly impossible to navigate
50% of mods i install seem to crash the game outright. these work on windows version of the game.
map/overlay/menu issues with MSAA enabled. issues resolved if its disabled. the games completely playable otherwise.
Works great in proton, minor issues with DX12
playing with DX12 lead to occasional crashes when loading into a map.
Works great in proton i did have some DX12 issues with the game crashing occasionally (enhanced edition) normal DX11 complete edition ran fine with no stability issues.
Flawless both native and proton.
If you come from windows your cloud save wont back up on a new linux install.
Be aware that windows cloud saves wont work.
tried proton experimental/ge.9.1 and 7. 7 lutris installed ea app
set directx = 1 in fifasettings.ini reinstalled ea app in lutris. tried multiple proton versions. alot of hassle. havent got upto fixing the black screen issue as of yet
Native works flawless but cant play online. proton version also works just as well. MP also works via proton too.
Native works flawlessy but you cannot play online. only solo/ splitscreen co-op
Multiplayer doesnt work on the linux native version. you cannot connect to any public servers.
very minor stuttering/fps drops when first loaded into a map.
Works out the box
wierd lighting changes when camera changes in cut scenes.
It runs ok, can be a little stuttery, graphics seems out for me, seem grainy and washed out. not sure if this is to do with FSR or not.
grainy and flickering lighting at times.
common stutters between area's, wierd mouse lag
Works flawlessy. Only issues was changing graphics settings made the game stutter and drop frames until restart.
If changing graphics settings the game would become very slow and drop to 10 - 15 fps. If i restarted the game there was no issues and the settings would still be applied
Works flawless
an updated report with better hardware as i had some issues with changing video settings with older hardware since upgrading there is no issues what so ever.
Works Fine.
Just runs slightly better in windows than linux, more a frame time issue than frame rate.
some stuttery gameplay at times. no dip in frame rates. like frametime spikes. happens maybe twice a match for like 2-3 seconds. thought it was a vsync issue at first but vsync is disabled.
Installed dll frameworks: d3dcompiler_43 d3dcompiler_47 d3dx11_43 d3dx9_43 d3dx9 d3dx10
On first Launch the game loaded with artifacts in the main menu. on restart the issue has not happened again.
Proton Tricks was used for the stalker anomaly mod. the original game works fine without these proton tricks
Game technically launches fine. Unplayable connection issues
Terrible rubber banding and desync issues 1-5 second delays (500 - 5000 milliseconds!!)
Game itself seems to run fine. But this is a MP title. the connection and desync issues are the worst ive experienced. ive looked to troubleshoot this issue. and i have no other issues with any other mp games or my connection. if i run on windows machine these connection issues arent appearing at all. which leaves me with this being a linux issue with the game.
If you can deal with the poor performance and stability issues its a fun to play.
wierd AA/FSR dithering when moving. this is also present in windows.
Runs bad, FPS everywhere frequently crashes
It's still in early access and alot of the issues are present in windows. i generally get worse performance on linux than expected. have not tried MP yet.
Runs Flawlessly
runs out the box. seems to run better than the windows version. just feels more snappier.
Works fine, Some connectivity problems joining sessions, not sure if linux or just the game servers. generally had no issues otherwise.
Works better than windows.
the game had some known bugs in windows. which dont seem to be present in linux. game works with 0 issues out the box
Runs pretty well.
first launched in an 800x600 resolution that only showed part of the game viewport. Mouse was not locating menu items in the correct places. after navigating in the dark a little i managed to set the game resolution and window mode.
it may be in a pretty scewed window and resolution on first launch. with the mouse not aligning properly with menu items. But once i got through the menu options and changed video settings the game had no more issues
on or two video cut scenes the audio was out of sync
so i've waited for the hotfix for the game to release. most issues have been fixed for me. the steam overlay still leads to a blank screen crash, and proton GE didnt work for me. Experimental and overlay disabled lead to the game working perfectly fine. i've had some fps drops in places but i think thats due to my machine specs and the game specs.
all in all its been pretty simple to get working.
game generally works. but must use SteamDeck=1 to be able to connect online. very patchy and unreliable support from the devs
SteamDeck=1
using steamdeck=1 to connect online defaults graphics to low settings. you will have to change your graphics settings back.
after linux support broken. re-enabling it with SteamDeck=1 deleted any offline progress
Works near native on amd gpus
previously using nvida gpu's the main menu background wouldnt load. on AMD gpus the issue has never appeared
Runs better in linux than windows out the box for me.
No issues what so ever. was even able to crank up the settings compared to native windows.
