The game works well with a controller since the introduction of controller support (improved a bit with 1.0 release too). The game is obviously designed with mouse and keyboard in mind though - but controller works fine!

Works near native on amd gpus
previously using nvida gpu's the main menu background wouldnt load. on AMD gpus the issue has never appeared

Playing docked with kb+mouse: started game, talked to barman, game softlocks. I suspect it's because it needs the mouse and the mouse has kinda disappeared. None of the buttons do anything, and it makes that geiger counter noise. Tried all the buttons on the controller and the keyboard, just geiger noise. Had to close the game.
Noticed a similar problem when pressing escape to look at the menu, the mouse doesn't immediately show up until i press up and down on the arrow keys to make it appear.
I've tried different versions of proton, all result in the same issue.

OOTB
Once had audio crakling issue. Fixed by a simple restart

Works very well OOTB
Main menu background video is missing.
The main menu seems to normally have a background video running. This doesn't work. Everything else works perfectly fine.
Runs amazingly out of the box!
Works Perfectly
tried to change proton versions, use the startup commands specified by users in this topic, nothing happens when the game starts
Zero Issues
Runs perfectly fine.
Runs exactly the same on recommended Proton, is just use GE because I can.
Works well but controls need to be fixed at launch (not gamepad support by default)
Just ran out of the box - no complains at all
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Crashed only once I don't know why
Worked OOTB with almost no issues
alt-tabbing while loading sometimes crashes the game
After a few raids game gets suddenly slow, but seems to be a problem with the game's engine AFAIK
Enjoyable game with some early access bugs
Appears that the game has a memory leak as after an hour or two of playtime my computer's 16GB RAM are all used and it starts swapping. This brings down the game's performance from the usual 60 FPS to about 40 FPS with hitching. Contained by restarting the game when this happens, but unfortunately I typically notice after loading into a new mission.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Required command and install of lib32-nvidia-utils.
I didn't try vanilla Proton. Currently, the game is known to have a memory leak issue. After an hour or so, the game will be slower. GNU/Linux has nothing to do with that.
Put ctrl on the down arrow
So far community profiles aren't great. you'll probably need to mess with one to make it better for yourself

Works perfectly OOTB
I notice over time the game will being to slow down considerably. I will try on windowed mode to see if that changes but it will sometime slingshot and then work fine for another 15 minutes before doing it again.
Tried all versons of proton, nothing worked.
Early Access Release Doesn't Launch
win32 funntion failed a call into Graphics_DisplayM.cpp. Tried all versions of Proton in steam and Proton-GE

PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Needed the launch option to start game. Worked great after that step.

This game is going to be awesome
Certain parts of the forest map makes the game chug not sure why.
Got one win32 api error, but the game was still running.

The version 0.24 (demo) seems OK for me
