No problems at all
Since the game can be quite demanding and my PC isn't great, the game ends up running better on Linux than on Windows.

Can only say this for native or light modding
There is a problem on some lenovo yoga laptops with the speakers and for some reason this game breaks the fix until a restart
Just worse overall than windows with higher temps for worse framerates, frame consistency, loading times... ive never had my laptops keyboard feel warm until i tried linux gaming.
Modding just doesnt work half the time its a pain
Overhaul mods (which are kind neccesary to keep MB fun) are unplayable and the vulkan texture thing took my 14 core CPU more than two hours while maxxing it out.

i just downloaded aur/proton-ge-custom-bin form aur
aur/proton-ge-custom-bin

everything runs out of the box
No Problems while playing

Works perfectly out of the box
It all works fine, and I pushed it with 1000v1000 battles, etc.

Vanilla playthough has had no issues thus far. Stable and smooth.

Works perfect out of the box. In 34+ hours of playing I've only gotten some minor texture errors (bottom of some environmental textures on one map were faded into a blue color) once. Just once, on 34+ hours, and even then it didn't happen twice on the same map so it may not be linux related.
SP simply works, no tinkering at all. Haven't tested online.

gamemoderun %command%
Shader building took some time
Crashes without crash log, no way to find a reason

gamemoderun %command% -useallavailablecores
mv TaleWorlds.MountAndBlade.Launcher.exe TaleWorlds.MountAndBlade.Launcher.exe.backup && ln -s Bannerlord.Native.exe TaleWorlds.MountAndBlade.Launcher.exe
Just rename the launcher with the command mentioned above (of course, first cd into YOURINSTALLPATH/steamapps/common/Mount & Blade II Bannerlord/bin/Win64_Shipping_Client). Works great, even faster than on Win10.

[Heavily modded playthrough] Runs like a dream, even after adding a ton of steam workshop mods.
I have seen some very rare occurances on some maps where some textures will have near the bottom a blue tint. Keep in mind, it's happened 4 times in over 166 hours
Crashed roughly 6 or 7 times
Matchmaking is a coin-toss between finding an actual game or staring at the loading screen infinitely.
Using GNOME 47.3 (xorg)
I've also played roghly 20 hours ish of vanilla with no issues.
Works out of the box. Better than expected performance for me

game-performance %command%
Works great for me.. just as smoth as windows.

On first run the frametime is horrible after logging in. Logout and start again it will work fine
gamemoderun %command%
MULTIPLAYER ISSUE: on first launch the framerate is super inconsistent. Unplayable
On first run the frametime is horrible after logging in. Logout and start again it will work fine

Honestly runs better than on windows 10. Saving and loading into areas and the map no longer take very long.
9.0.3.

Turn off the steam overlay
FPS tanks on some locations below 30, but It may be the common issue with Windows
Steam overlay causes frequent crashes, so you have to turn it off
With STEAM OVERLAY turned off the game never crashes, but the performance sometimes is sub-optimal even on the lowest settings (lowering graphics or crowd doesnt really help) but as I said it could be a common issue with Windows

The game is running fine with proton but make sure to meet the required components to run it without issues
Lags during battles due to my computer's poor perfomances

works fine
On the past it has very slow save games, currently version works fine

The frequent crashes make the game nigh impossible to enjoy at points during mid-to-late game where troop count tend to be in thousands.
Simulation for cloth physics, specifically on banners in battles, goes crazy.
Game continously crashes during large scale battles, more often than not during sieges, I suspect the mentioned cloth physics artifacts are the main cultprit as they are tied to the physics engine.
Admittedly, I did play on highest battle size settings which may have exacerbated the physics and subsequent crashing issues.
Works pretty good out of the box, I just had to turn the settings to medium for my hardware.

Works fine as long as the Steam overlay is disabled.
Game freezes when doing anything with the Steam overlay, including getting achievements. Had to disable the overlay.
Works great out of the box. No issues besides the occasional crash when playing for 6 hours straight.

To use mods:
Run protontricks -c "env" 261550 | grep "WINEPREFIX"
and you'll get something like WINEPREFIX=/path/to/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/261550/pfx
. Copy and paste it and add winetricks dotnet472
. Your command should look like this: WINEPREFIX=/path/to/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/261550/pfx winetricks dotnet472
(you have to change the path to the one you get from command of course)
Then paste it again and add winetricks vcrun2017
, then again adding winetricks gdiplus
(this one will take a while!)
Installing dotnet using protontricks has been failing me for a long time, even if I go back to proton 4. But it works using winetricks.
If you want to play with RBM (Realistic Battle Mod), you have to also instal the Harmony mod, and it will start working.

I had an issue where the game crashes randomly when entering or leaving combat. I believe it had to do with .net 472, but I am not certain.
The issue was resolved after steam randomly reinstalled "steamworks redistributables" for the game.

The game was running flawlessly until a week ago. I think an update to video drivers has messed something up.
Crashes when entering or leaving combat. The game works fine on the world map

Crashes resulting in a loss of unsaved data.
Crashes Frequently. Once it even froze the whole system.

Unable to launch new campaign - crashes after character creation. No rendering issues - stress test runs ok.
Tried "cabextract" method mentioned in Proton issues page
Not playable.
Game kept crashing on start (before the main menu). Disabling the steam overlay solved it.

Works perfectly with Proton-GE. Also no problem launching with Experimental and Stable, but I didn't play that much on those versions.
Shift+Tab overlay crashes the game.
Some mods may not work. I personally tried Calradia Expanded, and it crashed on "New Campaign" no matter what. I switched from Wayland to Xorg, changed Proton versions between GE, Experimental and Stable, disabled and enabled MangoHUD.
I am currently using Dismemberment Plus, Harmony, ButterLib, UI Extender and Mod Configuration menu. No problems with these mods.
Works perfectly aside from occasionally requiring multiple attempts to launch

Steam overlay causes the game to freeze when opening steam overlay or receiving an achievement. Disabling steam overlay fixed it. Note that I had to enable steam overlay globally in the Steam -> Settings -> In Game section and then disable it specifically for Bannerlord in its game-specific properties under General to fix the problem for me.
Pretty easy to get working at 100% functionality, but I definitely recommend disabling Steam Overlay to prevent issues.

gamemoderun %command%
Crashed everytime I got an achievement, fixed by turning off In-Game Steam Overlay.
Other crashes I experienced are known bugs in the game, unrelated to Proton.

Runs perfectly
It just works (lol)
