Unlike with older Proton version, it works out of the box with no tweaks required. Just seems slower than in Window$ so I let the rate on Gold.
Single player works like charm, but online multiplayer closes itself after starting a game.
Just install and play. Comply with Proton video drivers requirements and it works :)
It runs perfect adding "PROTON_NO_D3D10=1 %command%" in the launch parameters and running it over DX9 (no DX11). I selected Disable D3D11 because ProtonDB still didn't add the new Proton's launch parameters.
Now it runs out-of-the-box without any lag issue. Generic gamepad working fine too.
It works fine gamepad included (Redragon Saturn), just have to give it focus when it shows the title image, otherwise it hangs up on a black screen.
It does not work in fullscreen mode but it runs just fine in window mode
Runs perfectly out of the box! Generic USB controller gets detected without issue. The game flies like there is not a compatibility layer on the middle!
It now works out-of-the-box no tweaks needed but it seems to run slower than in native (windoor).
Still no sound in menu or in game, only works in the presentation. Although it runs just fine.
I can confirm that it works perfect and with sound after adding "WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=b" %command%" to the launch parameters of the game.
Works after following step by step the tweaks showed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEJ5JDgVL48
"Invalid user ID". Can't register with the launcher although Steam is running and I'm connected to Internet like it says
Just install and play. Issues: Audio sometimes gets choppy and the game launcher doesn't let you change gamepad button bindings.
It just works out of the box. Only detail is that it refuses to go fullscreen no matter how are the game settings, but it can get forced by the window manager (clic der -> maximize)
It started running after disabling D3D11 through launch parameters but only keyboard works, and with joysticks disconnected. Any joystick connected when launching the game causes it to get a constant directional input (cycling through options on menu and making impossible to control the characters).
This "game" runs perfectly out of the box. I just played less than 15 minutes 'cause it was the time that took me to complete all the achievements...
It now works out of the box like with Proton 3.7-8. Install and play, no tweaks required. Generic USB controller also works.
Works out of the box. No more mouse problems like in older Proton versions. Take in count that the game doesn't have Steam Cloud so your saves are only stored in your machine
Everything works out of the box, just have to press enter once or twice after starting the game to make it show. No mouse issues like in older Proton versions.
Runs perfectly as long as you do not configure the quality of the textures in LOW. If the automatic configuration does that, change it to MEDIUM or HIGH. If you forget and you can't get it to run again the next time, just remove the prefix of the game in your Steam library folder (generally "$HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/237110) to let Steam reinstall and launch clean the game.
Just runs out-of-the-box. Install and Play :) Achievements and joystick/gamepad/control works fine too.
It has some visual glitches but I know my video driver is not the newest so seems right to me. Gameplay and sound just fine.
Runs perfectly out of the box. I played the game from start to finish (all achievements) through Proton :)
It works forcing WINED3D. Maybe it can also work forcing the installation of DX11 on the prefix with protontricks or winetricks but I didn't try that
Runs perfectly out of the box, but it does not detects my generic USB joystick/gamepad, can play only with the keyboard
Runs by forcing WINED3D. Has some graphic artifacts, mainly near elevator platforms and it seems a slower than native, but it's playable.
Game works runs perfectly out of the box with exception of online mode. This last one seems to break the match connection after seconds in fight
Still borked. Process runs in background a minute and then it closes itself.
Runs perfectly after renaming the file "TS3.exe" to "Sims3Launcher.exe", located in the game folder (generally "$HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/The Sims 3/Game/Bin")
Game runs perfectly by bypassing the launcher like someone said in a previous report, gamepad and achievements included. Just let it download, install and fail to launch its first time, then add "%command%/../Binaries/Win64/WoolfeGame.exe" to the launch parameters and enjoy the game. It will probably fail again one more time after adding the launch parameter but from 2nd time onward it will run with no problem.
It runs in this Proton version but, as in Win10 you're stuck with a black square over the game that makes it unplayable
Black square on the top-left corner
Seems that in Win10 the solution for this issue is to "disable fullscreen optimizations" (whatever that means) on the compatibility preferences of the main executable
