Texture popping.
Characters popping in and out of scenes, or teleporting to different parts of the map.
Runs out of the box, which doesn't mean it runs particularly well, nor particularly bad. For a smoother experience, you'll be sacrificing textures and, apparently, the object permanence of other NPCs that have deemed it a good idea to jump from one side of the map to the other.
I experienced a lot of texture popping both in high and low quality settings.

game-performance mangohud %command%
Weird sound everytime i exit game.

Squeak from speakers when exiting game to desktop. Other than that no problems.
Very rare delayed texture loading.
Игра шла идеально и полностью пройдена.

Disabled VSYNC in game menu and this fixed the problem
Cutscenes are mandatory to follow the story. Therefore GE-Proton9-7 is a must, otherwise you'll just get a black screen for each cutscene (and there are a lot in the game)

Nothing to add, the game runs great as is, no real issues getting it to run, and was stable throughout the entire playthrough.

OTHER tested proton versions ran fine, except cutscene videos were garbled on the right half of the screen.

Works completely out of the box and runs well.
Not much to say here, works without any issues whatsoever and performs great. Unfortunately the game looks fairly godawful graphically speaking, so that's not really saying much. You should easily be able to crank out over 120fps even at the highest settings.
Switch to GE proton to avoid cutscene bugs

perfect with proton 8.0-3
perfect out of the box
Works decently enough
Occassional crashes during loading and black screens when starting cutscenes can be a bit annoying, but overall the game is playable.
As title says, the game works great "out of the box". No tinkering needed.
When run with default Proton 7.0-6 (or 7.0-5, not sure) in-game mouse navigation won't work as well as videos and who knows what else. Just download latest GE and enjoy! P.S. Nevermind FPS drops in Chapter 12, it's a common game issue.

I was able to play only with Proton Proton 6.3-8.
I tried to run the game with Proton: GE-Proton7-14 with the parameter "OPENSSL_ia32cap=0x20000000 %command%" and I opened the game, but it kept giving error. Then I used Proton-7.0rc6-GE-1 also with a parameter "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% just to make the cpu usage better, but it works without the command" and it also gave an error and when I used the Proton version 6.3- 8 that the game has stabilized and so far is not giving an error.

Set FPS to 40
Completed the game with ease - even the gun sections were easy enough using the track pad (you don't need quick responses).
Cutscenes don't play with the current Steam defaults but it works fine with GE-Proton 7-17
OPENSSL_ia32cap=0x20000000 %command%
The crashes can be fixed with launch option OPENSSL_ia32cap=0x20000000 %command%
Proton-GE is needed to for videos to be displayed properly. Game also frequently crashes on Intel Alder Lake CPU's because of a OpenSSL related bug in the game. The crashes can be fixed with launch option OPENSSL_ia32cap=0x20000000 %command%

Out of the box experience. The cutscenes only works with Proton GE 7.06cr6, didn't work with latest proton GE.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% just to make the cpu usage better, but it works without the command
With proton experimental and proton 7.0 the game doesn't work at all
The video issues make this very difficult to recommend
crashed a lot with standard Proton, occasionally with GE
Video completely craps out during the closing levels, even with GE. I'm currently unable to complete the game since I can't see the closing section of Chapter 13
Great little cosmic horror adventure
In larger areas frames can drop significant. Also whilst loading areas it can drop. Majority of game plays well over 100FPS
Around Chapter 12 of the game some cutscenes were not able to play. I got an "Test image" for testing screens. But then again the cutscenes of the final did play again properly again. (Have the MF git)
Except for the last couple of cutscenes and some FPS drops in certain areas. The game is perfectly playable out of the box.
The game works just as on Windows, you don't even need to install DirectX manually, as I had to do in the Windows version.
I've just set up a Windows virtual machine with PCI passthrough and installed the game on there, it didn't even start because it complained about missing DirectX, so I had to install it manually. After that, the game started, but it crashed after a few seconds of gameplay. I guessed it was some problem with my virtualization setup, so I gave a try with proton instead. The game installed just fine and even better, as I didn't need to to any other extra step as in Windows, but the game crashed just like in windows, after a few seconds of gameplay, just after the menu and the first load screen. The issue wasn't nor my VM nor proton version, but a known bug with OpenSSL and Intel 10th gen CPU or newer, which many games are having lately. So, like in the Windows version, we need to start the game with the following launch options:
OPENSSL_ia32cap=0x20000000 %command%
Besides that, the game runs at maximum (EPIC) quality and no glitches or bugs have been found in a quick test.

Proton-6.20-GE-1
In standard Proton, the video cut scenes would just show a black picture, but subtitles still showed along with the skip-scene prompts. Video would work after forcing compatibility with Proton GE 20.
Game runs smooth as silk on standard proton.

Videos did not work under Proton 6.3-7, had to use Proton 6.18-GE-2 which worked out of the box no issues

When trying to disable fullscreen in engine.ini, cutscene were not working
A few crashes when tinkering with the engine.ini, seems fine when removing custom changes.
Cutscenes were broken as it only shows an old TV-like screen. If you wait until the end of the cutscene it works.

Proton-6.14-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Custom GloriousEggroll Proton
Typically game had issues with cutscenes and made it unplayable. Suggested MF fix did not work for me. Tried GloriousEggroll Proton as suggested by user Auyer and it worked perfectly. No other issues.

Proton-6.8-GE-2 GloriousEggroll

Proton-6.5-GE-2
Using the latest version of proton-ge (Proton-6.5-GE-2 at this moment), cutscenes work
I've tried multiple proton version, including multiple GE versions, doing mf-install in all of them.
Cutscenes wont play. Even with mf-install, I could not get them to play. The only cariation I got was either a black screen with normal audio or with borked audio.
Without mediafoundation the cutscenes & videos don't play which makes the game literally impossible to play through. Animations don't work correctly and you enter into zones where you regularly wouldn't be able to so textures will be missing. You must install mediafoundation in order to play the game.

5.21-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Installation of GloriousEggroll Proton
No cutscenes
No cutscene, tried Proton EG 5.21, mf-install on some Proton (5.0-10, 5.13.2, Experimental). Also had to add taskset -c 0-7 %command%
while I have a threadripper and the game will block without that.
Due to missing cutscenes, game is not playbale.
Cutscenes don't plane (due to missing mdia foundation) so it's not possible to go out of introduction. Game not playable.
You have to install Media Foundation fix from https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install in order to be able to watch the cutscenes.
