Works ok with Proton
Crashed a couple of times in two different sections in 8 hours of play. Crashes seemed random - restarting the game allowed me to replay the section without issues.

Game runs fine for the most of it, but there's some sections in wich it slows down

Game wouldn't launch on Proton Experimental. The process just sat at 100% CPU, no window or anything. Forced Proton 7.0-6 and the game launches and runs without any issues.

Seems to work fine for the most part
I didn't play much but the game crashed at the end of the Naked Terror chapter, right as I got the achievement
The game did crash at the end of chapter 2

Game does not start

WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_STRENGTH=3 gamemoderun %command%
Runs at 1080p maximum, so forced Wine FSR
The max supported resolution is 1080p, so had to add the Wine FSR environment variables to upscale it to my monitor's 1440p resolution.
Works well with Proton 7.0-5
Some people may complain about the audio pops, but I believe it is part of the grindhouse style of the game.
Playing wtih surround headhpones, audio seems VERY messed up, I had to turn the volume all the way down. Otherwise it's playable.
COMPLETELY borked audio. Tracks fade in and out randomly, music disappears, left-right balance changes constantly with heavy crackling in between, and there's a high pitched noise when hovering over the audio menu.
Several textures seemed completely colorless, hard to say how much of it is part of the experience.
Fullscreen by default, and it works fine. However the game kept crashing when manually setting windowed mode.
Unexpected frame dips in some cinematics
Changed keyboard bindings around
Outdoor environments and lighting flashes; funny enough, gives game substance as it's supposed to be set as a B movie on broken film - not distracting for me, may be for others
Works great out of the box
I normally use Steam Tinker Launch, but this game would not run with it.
No longer requires WineD3D, DXVK renders everything perfectly and performance boosted significantly as a result.
Plays just like it did on my Windows machine before switching to Linux mint
Some speech did not play at all, I think I may have had a similar issue on Windows though
Also confirming that latest Proton works OOB, no launch options/tinkering required.
Finally, completely playable with no tweaks!
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1
is no longer needed, even better performance without it. pretty much 60 FPS lock now.
Feel stupid that all I had to add for launch options for this to work OOB was `PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 DXVK_HUD=fps %command%`
Runs perfectly
It helps to return missing textures
Needed for visible character models
Due to using WineD3D, performance will be affected marginally to significantly, depending on graphics hardware. Running system can play at ~60fps with some non-shader-related drops in busy scenes.
Tested with "Lightgun" Mouse mode mainly, which works fine with aforementioned environment switch. Non-rebindable keys makes lightgun play a chore without a way to remap keys on the hardware. Game has problems on Windows/AMD hardware as well.
Doesn't run for me, but still works great with lutris
Works well with newest Steam Beta Client (initial CEGDRM support) + Proton Experimental
Use PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% to fix graphical issues
Character models (players and mutants) are missing or mangled with dxvk, wine d3d provides correct image.
Only with default launch options, PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 makes the game completely playable.
With winde d3d framerate dips down to 30s but it's playable for this game.
This is a really early report soon after proton experimental added support for Valve's CEG DRM. Expect improvements to OOB experience later.

While still "playable" missing character models make the game much less fun.
All character models are completely invisible. Outside of that everything else runs fine.
Use "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" to view player and enemy models

Missing enemy textures takes away from the immersion.
Bad guys do not show up, but can still play the game as the words you need to type are visible.
I was not able to run the game in window mode.

none
With i3 i had to switch virtual desktop to be able to switch to another window
Does not start
Won't launch through steam with Proton GE. Working fine with Wine Steam using Lutris

Does not start
Did not try with Lutris, only directly from Steam
Doesn't start

Game won't run under Proton due to CEG DRM
More info about CEG DRM not working in Proton: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/753
The game works fine on Lutris (WINE, Steam for Windows).
Won't even launch.

Does not work through steam client, lutris launcher works
some screen tearing
it opens the steam startup screen but never actually opens

game crashes immediately
no window shows, it closes immediately after hitting play
