Slippery Vagoo
Published
Audio played out of order, repeated or not at all when in dialogue/cutscenes
Frequent crashes on focus loss
Neither xbox nor playstation controller worked, even with steam's controller compat layer
Pretty much unplayable, with ProtonGE 6.1 it worked sliughtly better but still very low framerates
Game launches but exits after a second of a white screen
Tried with both stock proton and proton ge
When i click play, steam tries to run it and after a few seconds gives up
Game works well, first time I've played the game with no crashes not even on focus loss, even modding just works
Crashes in main menu when promting to press any buttom. Demo works fine, but not the release version
Couldn't get it to work with Proton-5.9-GE-8-ST either
Initial cutscene works, but crashes once the gameplay is about to start
The main menu is completely corrupt, same happens with proton tkg
Heavy artifaction which can be temporarily solved by removing focus and refocusing a random number of times
Saw this on the titanfall 2 page, to get it to work with i3 you need to add this to your config: for_window [class="steam_app_1182480"] floating enable After that it worked without any issues, without it it hung on launch of origin
Tried with TKG and Ge as well as normal proton
Proton and TKG crashed after company logos and GE would get an error and never close correctly (waited half an hour without anything happening)
everything worked fine when windowed, but in fullscreen it re-initated focus each time i tried to escape
As mentioned below it uses 21 of 32 threads, while leaving the GPU starved, but even when pinning it to 4 cores the performance stays the same, the tutorial stage had about 40 fps, the hub 80 and the first stage is at 12 fps.
Tried to set it down to medium settings and lower resolution, this didn't do anything, if anything it made the frame-rate go down
Everything is white when "Lightmaps" and "Full bright" is on, and i had to lower the brightness quite a bit as well
Had a couple of days where there weren't any native version before it got updated, Proton works perfectly in a pinch
none
With i3 i had to switch virtual desktop to be able to switch to another window
