Make sure to `Enable Shader Pre-Caching` from `Settings` menu.

- Everything is perfect OOB on any proton/custom proton version (Proton Experimental freezes past shader compilation), except for the fact that the framerate drops to 2 fps as soon as I withdraw my weapon (as it's pressing the action button for it, regular withdrawal has no indication of my game about to die).
- I haven't tested this on any other weapon besides Bow, but i'm guessing it's the same.

- Everything but my Switch Pro controller is actually responsive to input in the game, otherwise detected. I don't think this is a proton issue (?).
*IF*, a typical gamer can handle it looking a little janky and only cares about performance/playing with friends.
Heavy artifacting at cost of better performance. Lowest textures set, resolution still set at default 1920x1080 though. I can download and run the game with the high quality texture pack, but then framerate becomes unstable, this might be due to the fact that i run into a lack of space for the shaders/swap with the limited space on the 64gb internal drive.
Disabling all frame generation/upscaling made performance worse. Enabling AMD FSR generation has it running at solid high 30s - mid 40s. Did not use steam performance overlay settings.
Have had at least 4 crashes within the first 30 hrs of playing, might have been influenced by overheating after playing in a long sitting. 2 crashes happened shortly after kicking off a quest with the distress beacon, 1(-2 maybe) created reports for the devs before quitting, 1 crash caused a re-verify reboot. Crashes were not influenced in frequency by running off battery power or not.
Runs worse than World/Rise off the bat, but I can wait for this to be officially or unofficially patched out at some point. Networking handling/performance wise it's an incredible feat it's running as stable as it does on the steam deck. Graphically looks worse than Dragon's Dogma 2 (which is a different type of project in what is rendered anyway) but performance is much better, at least playable off the bat.
Perfect OOB, any issues I ever had are minor and most likely nothing to do with platform.
Feel stupid that all I had to add for launch options for this to work OOB was `PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 DXVK_HUD=fps %command%`
Also confirming that latest Proton works OOB, no launch options/tinkering required.

I did try running this on a linux-based machine a year or so ago and to not great success past one map, but currently is running without issues. I'd come back and report otherwise.
Works perfectly OOB with any of the newest Proton versions (tested the three latest).
Alternating the options from windowed/borderless is fine, but then to Fullscreen, the screen is black/does not take input from controller, seeing the progress of the 10 second time out before the screen reverts to the previous option is only visible by alternating between windows, otherwise it is the only item in the menu that I have difficulty with.
Before latest Proton 6 version, audio was choppy and I couldn't fix it. winedlloverride=xaudio
whatever that line was, did not work for me in the launch options, but now it just works OOB.
