The game crashes/freezes competely very often whenever I navigate the main/pause menu while my Steam Deck is docked and connected to a monitor.
Game works just perfect out of the box! I was very surprised that game have "not supported" label.

Works fine OOTB, if you want to play vanilla. Mods require tricks to be able to access them.
Connection to Bethesda.net Prior to August 22th update, there was no way to connect to Bethesda.net, the game was freezing to the point it needed a complete reboot. Now, at login, the game will freeze, but you can quit the game and relaunch it. You should now be connected and able to browse mods.
No idea why Steam lists this as unsupported, it works flawlessly with no settings changes at all.

The games run perfectly on the Steam Deck right out of the box with very little tinkering required
CPU TDP <7 W and GPU Frequency <700 MHz

Runs flawlessly in 1080p, should be Deck Verified

I connected to the first co op lobby that was populated. Might have been too much. 200ms ping to the host and it felt soupy. But it did work, 16 Doom guys speed running Doom 1 episode one.
I was worried when Valve claimed this was unsupported, but I did not run into any trouble in my short period testing it out. I did not try every feature but single player and multiplayer worked.
Using another account on steam overwrote my main save somehow

3w TDP

Settings > Other > 'Prefer system libraries' must be enabled to launch.
GOG version requires Wine-GE and 'prefer system libraries' set for successful launch on Steam Deck.
I played both the DOS version and the remaster, it ran both perfectly and it was a lot of fun. Though everything can run Doom...

The Non-DOS version runs smoothly (apart from a stutter during the Bethesda animation on startup), was set to the correct resolution out of the box (unfortunately it doesn't support the Steam Deck's 16x10 aspect ratio), and the controls were perfect on their default settings. The DOS version on the other hand needs to have the controls changed manually, and will make your fan spin up like crazy. Installing Luxorpedia may fix this, but I didn't bother since the other version already just works perfectly out of the box

Chaged inputs to be slightly more comfortable on Deck
40hz cap
Despite being marked as unsupported, I have had zero issues as of yet with the game. It runs at a perfect framerate without any visual or auditory bugs whatsoever. What makes it qualify as "Unsupported" is beyond me when it runs without any issues.
NOTICE: This report was made playing ONLY the 2019 re-release of DOOM. None of the DOS iterations were tested.
i used steam not bottles why does it say that
The game is working out of the box. Without needed to change to proton or controller settings.

Lost when uninstalling
I did not try the classic version of the game, but the remastered version runs fine. No idea why it's marked Unsupported.
Runs smooth 60 FPS on the lowest watt setting at 3w
It just works. I have no idea why it's officially marked as "Unsupported"
