Not that pleasant to play in the demo state
When tabbed out of the game, it would hang up and I couldn't close it normally
Mouse felt sluggish
Game randomly hung up for a couple of seconds every minute
Works nice on release day
Loading from one stage to another takes ~5sec which seems odd
Sometimes crashes when catching eggs
Does not work with Proton-GE14!
Seems to not fully work
Textures sometimes load when object is already on screen
I don't know if the native build for linux is buggy or it is the early access stage in general.
gamemoderun %command% -NoLauncher -NoStartupMovies
On native version the "window" was between two monitors (each one showing half of the game). On the windows version it didn't happen
On the non-native versions, I had issues with the window placement (even in fullscreen). Windows version worked after adding the starting parameters to not use the launcher (wouldn't hide and was showing over the running game)
Works great for a release day game
I played for 2 1/2h and it only crashed once so far
%command% --cores 1
Works with almost no issues
The game wouldn't allow me to escape when in "real" fullscreen. In windowed fullscreen it was no issue.
The cursor is not exactly there, where it shows up. But it is only a few pixels off, and therefore easy to guess
Just set to windowed full screen and then you are happy to game
If you are fine with no sound, then it can be played without issues
No audio at all
Works basically out of the box
I want to run in full-screen so that's why I had to change the blur (reason for marking it as tinkering)
gamemoderun %command%
With normal proton experimental many textures would be rainbow colored glitching
The version of proton that was defaulted to after installing wouldn't work. Forcing experimental did.
Works without issues
Shaders in the "video squences" rarely freak out a bit
Overall, the game works just fine.
Works if you change settings to lower end
Had pretty frequent stuttering and FPS drops. Had to set quality way down and limit fps to get it playable
Had pretty frequent stuttering and FPS drops. Had to set quality way down and limit fps to get it playable
Basically on every mission start it crashes. Have to try it a few times until it works somehow
Worked good, but crashed randomly
Crashed every few hours while being in the overworld. However, never happened in a level
I don't know if the crashes are caused because I ran it on Linux, or if the game itself is just bugging out. The logs didn't help much finding that out, as it seems to just quit "normally".
Works out of the box
No issues whatsoever. Was able to play 100%, collect all achievements and play through DLCs like a charm
Works Great
Some incorrect sounds are played. E.g. Java "utini" is the select sound from the menu
Some short lags occured during gameplay. But they are very rare
Had no issues playing the game to 100%
Works pretty good on day 1
Sometimes dipps to 1FPS for a second
Sometimes a bit of a slowdown Playing in MP using that steam couch coop works pretty good
With normal proton from steam, water and lava where flickering heavily
Works like a charm
Very rare crashes maybe every ~6-8h
It was like native
Works great
Works great, no issues whatsoever. Only sometimes a character gets stuck (but I guess that is the game itself and nothing Linux specific), but can be "fixed" by killing the character to let it respawn.
Settings don't get saved
Resolution setting only worked in DirectX 9
Here and there some lag-spikes
Settings don't get saved
Would be playable but since settings don't get saved, playing in 720p with max volume and lags here and there ain't great
Created a "pcconfig.txt" file in the installation folder to "save" the settings (somehow not in this file but it works)
Some audio is very loud and sometimes barely hearable
Only Windowed works to get set resolution
Random laggs every now and then
Sometimes crashes when much is happening
Required some tweaks to do to get it working but after that it works in a way that is playable
Works great!
Controller bindings had to be mapped manually ingame
Not playable
-force-glcore
Screen would go black every time I tabbed into the game. "-force-glcore" fixed it. But it runs ~1FPS or even less which sadly makes it unplayable
Sometimes crashes in the main menu after starting the game
Ranked (online) worked great
Had to tick "Force the use of a specific steam play compatibility tool" to not crash after starting
Works out of the box
Here and there some slight hickups when loading new map
Works without any tinkering. Had no feeling that it is performing bad
Won't start
Won't start regardless it being shown as "running".
Tried a few starting flags mentioned by others, but didn't help
gamemoderun %command%
With the default version of Proton, the game instantly crashes upon starting.
With a forced experimental, I had these smaller issues:
- Settings (resolution, quality, …) don't get saved when loading a game.
- In the menu, the cursor is flickering a bit
Turn down graphics a bit and it should work fine
Had to play on low to medium settings as frame rate would be around 40FPS or lower otherwise. Wouldn't expect that with my system
Starting takes some time but launches and crashes after a few seconds
Works with an odd resolution
The game doesn't list 1920x1080 as a resolution. Only 1920x800
Works with a small bug
By default, it says the correct resolution of my monitor, but when not changing it, and clicking "save" it sets the actual resolution (lowest) and then it crashes after locking up.
