O jogo rodou perfeitamente no linux. Consegui inclusive jogar a campanha em tela dividida com o meu filho.
Game runs fine, however the UI gets stretched no matter what the resolution is
GUI would render at 16:9 while game ran at 16:10
Perfetto
MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command% MAXFPS 0
I could load a 100% completetion saved game found on the Internet.
great steam deck experience
game runs fine on the deck. No errors
works fine
no tinkering needed. game runs without any problems
Requires the lowest 720p resolution. It's for my 8 year old daughter. She won't notice AA missing or low graphics settings.
PROTON_USE_WINE_DXGI=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
On lower versions of proton it was not detected, but on 5.13-6 it was fine.
Switched everything to 720p, AA off, everything low in graphics-settings and it became very playable.
Lego city seems to work fine on cards supporting Vulkan. My Fujitsu SFF PC has incomplete Haswell Vulkan drivers and required tinkering to get working using D3D instead, but now runs the game at a reasonable speed (fast enough for my daughter).
Newer versions of Proton crashed the game at startup on my hardware (either not launching at all, or crashing out after the main menu).
Looking good
runs perfectly
Worked good, but crashed randomly
Crashed every few hours while being in the overworld. However, never happened in a level
I don't know if the crashes are caused because I ran it on Linux, or if the game itself is just bugging out. The logs didn't help much finding that out, as it seems to just quit "normally".
Always crashes at the same place making story progression impossible. Otherwise the game runs mostly fine.
gamemoderun %command%
A little bit of stuttering when first starting up the game. More noticeable on older versions of Proton.
The game would always crash at the same point, the entrance to the skyscraper in chapter 2. I tried the current version of Proton, as well as 5.13-6 which worked for someone else, and Experimental. I also tried the gamemoderun command and various other different launch options mentioned by others here, but nothing worked. This means that you cannot progress further in the story.
Aside from this the game would sometimes crash randomly anyway, but I found that the gamemoderun command helped mitigate those.
Aside from the crashes the game runs fine maxed out at 4K, although it seems to be capped at 60fps. I didn't come across any bugs or other issues besides the ones mentioned. My XBOX ONE controller worked fine.
A little unstable with a couple crashes, plus it didn't like my PS4 controller but I was able to play the campaign all the way through.
Initially tried to use a PS4 controller and that was totally unsuccessful. Switched to a Logitech controller and it worked immediately.
Overall, pretty solid. A few crashes but I get the impression that's just how the game do.
Ran flawlessly. No significant issues at all
Honestly works better than it did on Windows. Before on Windows, it CTD'd almost instantly. Now I'm actually able to play the game, although I have been told Chapter 5 bugs out. I'm not there yet so I'll see what happens
Launches and Plays Without Any Issues.
Completely playable, just FEELS like it's hovering more around 45-60 instead of a locked 60.
I had one single crash on Desktop that I couldn't replicate. On Steam Deck, there was a consistent crash on Chapter 5.
Really, this was a perfectly fine out-of-the-box experience. I haven't tried this on Windows, but the problems I experienced felt like regular PC port issues rather than Linux ones. Had one crash, and the framerate doesn't FEEL like a locked 60 (I'd guess 45-55). Completely playable, had a ton of fun, and I played through the game on my Linux Desktop start to finish.
slight stuttering or slowdowns during gameplay. Enough to be noticable but not affect gameplay
Tried in latest version of proton, but the game on launch would run at 4 fps before the main menu and then crash. Switching to proton 5.13-x fixed this issue.
Most of the game works fine if you don't mind some occasional crashes
99% of the game works completely fine, however, when you are in loading screens (mostly mission starts/finishes) you can occasionally crash
This game doesn't have a naitive multiplayer mode, but Steam Remote Play together works perfectly well
gamemoderun %command%
Shift+Tab worked for the first time I ran the game, then it no longer worked. (Could not click into second monitor)
PS3 controller would only work under Proton Experimental.
Some framerate drops
Game would not progress past the first grappling hook mission (where you enter the top of a skyscraper).
Older versions of Proton would mess with controller settings.
Attempting to use a PS3 controller forced the game into local multiplayer. MP seemed to work but this was not the intended purpose of using the controller; I consider this a bug.
Game seemed promising at first, then a mission story proved to cause crashes each time you attempt to enter a building. Cannot progress any further than 2.3% of the game. All prior ProtonDB posts/solutions were unable to remedy the crashing issue. Refund requested.
Just install and run,It works
works perfectly on Linux
Minor crustiness around the characters' faces.
Consistant crash in Ch. 2 that prevented the story from progressing. Fixed by switching to Experimental.
Except for incidental crashes, always at specific places in the game. Solved with different proton versions.
Switch to proton experimental at end of chapter 6 (deliver truck) because of crash. Switch back almost immediately to recommended when entering sewer because of crash.
Once I switched to proton 5.13-6 I had zero issues and no crashes when loading into missions or buildings.
Game would crash or run poorly under other versions of proton
Game would crash with all proton versions night than 6.3
The game ran perfect once I switch to 5.13-6, I also capped the refresh rate at 50 and manual set the GPU clock to 1000, have had zero issues sinces doing so.
Moving to into levels and police station from free roam often crashes.
Finished story with minor graphical issues
Some light effect such as laser beams are barely visible
Tiny lagspikes while loading areas around, not occurring on Windows.
Some crashes loading chapters or chapter-parts.
Lego city undercover is almost as playable and as stable as on Windows ;)
Consistent crash at the first destination (police station)
Expect for the crashes it was perfect
Frame limited to 45 FPS
Game crashed 4 times in 10 hours, 3 times trying to start chapter 15.
The game crashes every hour randomly
Had pretty frequent stuttering and FPS drops. Had to set quality way down and limit fps to get it playable
Basically on every mission start it crashes. Have to try it a few times until it works somehow
Works if you change settings to lower end
Had pretty frequent stuttering and FPS drops. Had to set quality way down and limit fps to get it playable
gamemoderun %command%
It crashed once out of nowhere and try to avoid using the steam overlay. It also causes the game to crash
Experimental also works as of now
Game works like native. No issues found whatsoever.
Played local multiplayer with my brother while docked to a television. Did not experience any issues. Used two Steam Controllers.
Runs great and works well with adjustable frame rates thanks to 40hz-60hz modes on the Deck. I recommend 44hz
Switched to 44hz for 44fps - saves battery and runs perfectly this way
Runs without issues
I couldn't reproduce any of the issues others had: Alt-Tab worked fine, Controller reconnected without issues after a battery swap...
Look if you don't care about controllers or alt-tabbing I'm sure it's fine, but it makes it pretty hard to recommend for me.
The game was super jank with fullscreening, had to reboot to actually change resolution (that appears to just be the game not linux)
I could kinda connect my controller, but if I went to alt-tab out it would just drop it entirely, meaning if I had to use my computer at all I'd have to reboot the game.
This game should NOT have a platinum rating.
Works perfectly fine out of the box.
Just get black screen, then back to Steam
Click play, get preparing to launch, black screen, then back to Steam screen and the game stops running. What is really weird, if I remote into my system using xrdp I can play the game. I can also run the game using remote play.
