The FPS is 46-117 on Linux, which is pretty good, but I'm experiencing some weird lags and Mangohud isn't working
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
The game has some performance issues. It lags every minute or two, half a minute, and sometimes it'll go every few seconds
You can't click on anything or change the resolution (changing the resolution can break the game)

I'd say that it plays better on linux than on windows.

Works perfectly out of the box.
As one other user said, when switching between fullscreen and windowed mode you will have a black screen in the game, but restarting the game will fix it

Works great right out of the box
Had problems getting the game fullscreen, but it happens on the Windows version too

Audio isn't properly resampled from 22KHz, sounds noticably muddier than on Windows.
Running vid_restart and snd_restart in the console cause a gray screen (QL's "missing texture") that forces me to Alt+F4.
Game runs very smooth (duh), input is excellent, but it still has a couple issues; audio seems to default to 22KHz, and as a result sounds very muddy. In Windows it's resampled properly and sounds clear. Likely something with pipewire/wireplumber, although I have set resampling quality to 10. Additionally, running vid_restart or snd_restart do not work and will display a missing texture indefinitely until you force quit. Besides that, I had zero problems playing duel and clan arena as usual.
Played at a LAN and it worked perfectly. Ran at 2560x1440 and hit 100fps locked. Hooked up a keyboard and mouse and I was cooking.

When shifting between fullscreen and windowed, the menu-screen gets artifacted and needs \vid_restart
There is some inputlag (pure feel only: seems to be around 50-100 ms), enough to set you back on competitive play. It's even worse in Wayland than X11. This seems to be across distributions, i tried Nobara, Garuda, EndeavourOS (Daily driver) and now CachyOS!

Runs flawlessly out of the box with Proton experimental
Works perfectly apart from the game's usual netcode woes.
works ootb, no problems

gamemoderun %command%
Haven't run into any issues whatsoever.

GE-Proton8-24 crashed at match browser every time, even with the provided parameters given on this page. Going back to GE-Proton8-23 though makes it run perfectly.
gamemoderun DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%

Works perfectly well with a old Proton Version. With Proton 7 and 8 I was not able to use the main menu. I was not able to klicke any item.

Game runs flawlessly
Even worked for me on Wayland. Buy and play, give this game some life. Its worth your time!
Game simply crashes on double-click
gamemoderun DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%

Boots faster on Linux than Windows on the same PC.
Buy and play.
Runs perfectly out of the box. Work like native, so you even can play on Linux competitively.
It appears run perfectly with Intel and AMD graphics, Nvidia users having a bad time with this game on Linux.
Windowed at any other resolution than the one the game defaults to causes horrible graphical artifacts
The announcer gets cut off at the end of the round. It's not really a problem.
Slight stuttering first time when you spawn on the map and super slight stutters happening at random. Slow load times but I don't think it's linux specific issue.
If QL has been played on another computer before booting up on Deck, the default settings from the other PC will be used and cause QL to present an error report. The error says "GLW_CreateWindow: could not register window class." Setting Launch Options to "+set r_mode 16 +set_customWidth 1200 +set customHeight 800" fixes this problem permanently.
Absolutely no problems connecting to servers, maintaining connection, talking over text or voice, and overall plays just fine online.
The mouse was flickering in the main menu, was really hard to click anything. Fixed by disconnecting the controller.
If you have input problems(problems with flickering mouse, unable to press anything in the menu) just disconnect your controller if it's connected. It fixed my input problem

Played a bunch of Clan Arena!
Using default proton spits out "BAD SERVER ADDRESS" when connecting. Switching to Proton-v-6.3.8 resolves this issue.

sometimes crashes when selecting a server in the server browser
i had a refresh rate issue which was fixed by disabling my 2nd 60hz monitor which enabled my main monitor to run at 240hz.
the 2nd issue was the in game brightness being very low at every brightness setting which was fixed by turning on post processing and color correction.

you must have post processing turned on or the brightness will be very low in game
mouse and keyboard inputs do not work
if you are playing on a multi monitor setup the game will be locked to the lowest monitor refresh rate, a simple fix is to disable all monitors except main.
Sometimes it would freeze for a frame or two
Can't use mouse to select menu options, they flicker on and off while the mouse is bellow the flickering option
Tried multiple Protons, not great.
Occasional crackling, requires snd_restart command.
Brightness too low and unadjustable in fullscreen mode, Color depth too low, One time the entire image flipped upside down
Fullscreen was where brightness was too low, color got messed up, etc. Use windowed.
Game crashes in server browser frequently when trying to view server info.
When trying to join server through server browser, get error "Bad Server Address", have to use ql.syncore.org to find games.
Worked perfectly. I forgot how much fun this game is.
Runs exactly like on Windows with the default 125FPS cap, barely drops below, pretty much perfect.
OOTB Proton 6.3-8. Went in expecting to troubleshoot and forgot I was running under Proton.
Game is completely borked unless you put "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%" into launch options and play with Proton 5.13-6. Before I did this, the game would crash before I even got past the main menu.

Qjoypad
2 controllers (afterglow xbox 360 controller and Buffalo BSGP 1601) after firing first shot the view shifts up and I was not able to center the view. Switching per game controller options to "forced off" and using Qjoypad to map keyboard shortcuts resolved this issue.
Frequent crashes, not a fun experience
Crashes frequently for no apparent reason. Mostly happens when joining a server/changing game settings.
