Significantly worse performance relative to Nvidia cards. Able to run at 4k medium at 30-40 FPS with FSR performance (1080p).
Never crashed on my 1660 SUPER, but now crashes frequently, and game occasionally completely seizes up my computer.
Somewhat buggy game at times.
Tried co-op with friend. works perfectly.
Says I need to install from DVD
Tried the registry fix, but didn't work. I even bought the game from GoG, but it crashes on starting a new game,

This game should work perfectly out of the box. You get a lot of screen tearing, though.
Works perfectly out of the box. Tick "force composition pipeline" in nvidia xserver settings to eliminate screen tearing.

Matchmaking doesn't work, but custom games do.

There's a parameter you need to change in your INI file, change it from DirectX 9 to DirectX 11
Go to your INI file (If on boot drive, then it's .steam if it's on a secondary drive, then it's whatever you called your steam library folder) in ~/.steam/steamapps/compatdata/110800/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/Rockstar Games/L.A. Noire/settings.ini
I couldn't get back into the game with fullscreen enabled after I left the game.

Find game compatdata. Change ini file from DirectX 9 to 11 (Latest GE proton does this automatically). Then patch dinput8.dll from github via protontricks with help from VaanaCZ's github for 4k@60FPS gameplay.

Alt-tabbing crashes game.

Alt-tabbing is buggy on GNOME.
Execellent performance for a day 1 game. Would like to see performance improvements eventually.
If you can stand looping music and cutscene audio, then you will enjoy this experience.
Cutscene audio and music plays for a few seconds, then loops infinitely. Overlaps other audio.

Music and cutscene audio loops, can be fixed by disabling esync and fsync.

Ran at High/Medium settings at 4K with FSR 2.0 Performace, noticed heavy black artifacting. Doesn't happen at low settings.
Controller was detected, but game wouldn't accept inputs until complete restart
Crashes every once in a while, but it might be RAM vs VRAM limitations.
9 watt TDP, 1000MHZ GPU clock
put "WINEDLLOVERRIDES=dxgi=n" without quotes in launch options for an enjoyable experience.
No EAC support under proton. FacePunch leaving linux users as a whole behind.

Until Garry Newman delivers on his promise and decides to support EAC under proton, you can't play on 99% of servers right now. There are some servers you can play without EAC, but you can't use the console in the main menu anymore. DayZ will suffice for now, for some.
Very brief test, but otherwise works perfectly out of the box.
Audio falls out of sync at beginning of cutscenes, but syncs fine afterwards.
