After about 30+ minutes of playtime framerate halves. This game runs very well on my hardware but I've heard talk of a memory leak. This issue is present for Windows users as well.

to fix audio crackling, set audio system to ALSA
fixed with ALSA setting
Raytracing reflections sometimes causes weird coloring, so I recommend turning it off.
Works out of the box!

Runs just like it would on windows!
Played about an hour and had no issues and didn't have to tinker at all.

Game runs wonderfully, no need to tinker at all
this game is a masterpiece, and I've had no trouble playing through the main campain and the dlcs
yes but i am visually impaired so you might be fine

Highest graphics settings hat some very inconsistent FPS, second two highest worked perfectly and the game still looked very good. I had like two or three freezes during my whole playing time, do not know if that was Linux/Proton related but it was not too annoying anyhow.
Runs well, but the beginning was not stable in terms of FPS. In general, runs quite well on medium settings with FSR on ballance. TDP 12W

Compared to Windows, the game would run with lower FPS, around 10-15FPS

Disabled gyro. Also mapped L3 and R3 to L4 and R4.
TDP 12W
Mapping L3 to L4 didn't work. I had to map L4 to the actual move that I wanted to perform. It was easy, though.
I disabled the dynamic scaling and activated FSR 3 for frame generation. No FSR for resolution.
I'm getting 50-60fps most of the time. Indoors it goes to 30-40fps.
initial install would not launch, uninstall and reinstall would not launch. had to verify integrety which found 6 missing files

Disabled Gyro
all together great fun to play initial start was a bit finikydue to two files not downloading failing to launch campaign but verifying the game solved it

You can improve performance and battery life if you play with the settings. Great out of the box experience though.
Locked FPS 40 TDP 12W
It's really hard to quickly make out what button to press during QTEs. Other than that it's fine.
Some pixelation here and there but that's upscaling for you. Didn't bother me much.
I really like the game so I'm playing it a second time but this time on the deck. A must try.

Works out of the box
It worked out of the box, I had no problems, no aparent lag, nothing, even after instaling mods on it (used wine to run the mod manager) it runned smoothly.

Error on my RAM

I wanted to add my settings to my last report, but the game happened to crash and wouldn't reopen that night. I can't edit my review, so here's a second one with my settings:
Exclusive Fullscreen
2560x1600
60Hz, no v-sync
Upscaling off
High textures
4x anthro filtering
Low shadow quality
SSAO occlusion
Reflections on
Low detail
Low crowd/traffic density
High hair quality
Low weather particles
Low DOF
Bloom on
Flares on
Aberration on
Vignette on
FOV 0
Grain 10
Sharpness 10
These settings got me 30ish FPS most of the time and excellent visual fidelity. FPS tanked during my first battle with Shocker. I had been using the High preset prior to then, and set many things to Low to make it more playable. Forgot to check if they could go back to High after that battle.

Mostly good; audio during credits was cutting out
Cutscenes could be slow, particularly whenever in FEAST
If you set raytracing too high, the game will instantly crash upon opening. You can reset the graphics settings by deleting the .reg
files in ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1817070/pfx/

Works perfectly out of the box
Great game.

If you're looking to enjoy Spider-Man on Proton, here's a quick and simple tip: just modify the launch options and the proton version, and you're good to go!
Use Pronton Experimental
Put this into the launch options

All I had to do was install and run

Perfect!
The game runs better on Linux than it does on Windows. The performance is phenomenal and a joy to behold. A+

Changed to 10w
Small texts on which button to press during QTE
The new addition to FSR3.1 with frame-gen felt great. Feeling of constant 60fps with all medium settings. Disabled frame limiter in the SteamOS game setting

Just the basic lowering Graphics settings and lowering FPS Limit
Just some minor FPS drops if a lot was going on
When playing the game everything runs perfectly fine and the game plays amazingly the only time it doesn't play amazingly is when the FPS drops by 10 every now and then due to lots of particles on screen otherwise the game runs amazingly and I have finished it on the Steam Deck twice now.

Works out of the box
Works out of the box for me. Played through the story twice on Linux without issue.

Runs perfectly out of the Box, has Gamepad Support.
You can use an XBOX controller via USB, which is my preferred way to play the game - ditch the Mouse and Keyboard for this one!

Can maintain 40fps most of the time on medium settings + built-in FSR2.1, with occasional dips to 33-34.

Worked Completely Flawlessly
Worked great without any tinkering whatsoever. Very fun game and I have been able to play for many hours.
