For the love of god change to the directx 11 version. Otherwise there are massive stutters and the whole system crashes when going from atrium to parts and service.
After changes more than playable.

Works good but...
For some reason on Windows the game runs with DirectX 11 but on Linux it requires DirectX 12, so it's runs fine as long as your graphics card is DirectX 12 compatible.
Played on deck for a while, then tried playing on my PC, only to see i had no save data.
Game is borked as f. I tried every version of proton, wine, wine tricks and bottles and nothing worked.

it depends if user like to tickering around command settings , its more easier to make bash .desktop shortcuts for every game to run proton

it seems textures are degraded in some area in game vs windows textures are in highest quality , haven't play long enough to test entire game on amd gpu vs nvidia gpu in past it ran all great without disabling CORE PERFORMANCE BOOST option is kind it odd for 7900xtx have problems in cpu/gpu schedulling or my PSU 750 need to be replace to bigger supply unit since my 12v rail only goes 61amps , strange i never suffer any issue with 3070ti previous card that use same wattage as 7900xtx without coil whine that AMD love coil whine a lot that CPU just too sensitive of it to run higher boost clocks, idk after assemenent today, mesa-git is must have to play other latest games due to mesh shaders usage
disabling BIOS option CORE PERFORMANCE BOOST solved entire unreal4/5 games issues
this game is tough one to crack when it also have same problems with windows drivers that cause same crashes as on proton, that lead to disable core performance boost , haven't test pbo settings than leaving on auto , not sure it work when CB is disable from advance cpu settings on bios, need further testing when changing psu to 850w pcie5 ready

Tried multiple setups, this one for me was the one that worked. Without the launch options it would always just show error related to dx12 and not even start. Also i only played Ruin DLC, as i have played the main game before, and when this came out, my windows install was already low on space.

Doesn't Start.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 or PROTON_NO_D3D11=1
Game does not start with any proton version. Works perfectly fine on windows with the same installation. Game was initially installed on Windows before transferring to Linux on a separate drive.

Game does not start!
No window appears when starting the game on steam.
Game ran perfectly out of the box

Game will unable to play embedded videos, if not using "Force to use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool". Nothing else wrong except that. Some common lags are game tweaks issue.

Nothing unusual, just normal FNaF SB crashes
On my last report for FNaF SB, I said that opening the Fazwatch can cause the game to freeze because it eats all the vram. I investigated that, and I found a solution to that. Normally FNaF SB uses DirectX12, and that's cool and all, but when it does that, Proton uses VKD3D, which I think isn't as good or has some problem compared to DXVK (or maybe SB just has better DirectX11 support?). Adding the launch option "-d3d11" to the game causes it to use DirectX11, which will then make Proton use DXVK. I haven't tried using DirectX10 or DirectX9 (or OpenGL), those may unveil better performance.
tldr: Make SB use DirectX11 instead of DirectX12 by adding "-d3d11" to the launch options. Fixes issues relating to the Fazwatch and vram.
Game works out of the box. No tinkering. No Bugs so far.

Locked game at 720p.
Use medium settings.

Runs perfectly, no issues with Proton. Only issues are issues with the game itself. Mods work too. Beat the game a few times under Proton. One thing I don't remember happening on Windows, is that if you open the Fazwatch the game might use 100% of your GPU and then might freeze your system, that HAS happened to me on Windows but on Windows it only happened on the cameras, under Proton, I notice it will any menu in the Fazwatch. I think it might be a game issue though, so that's why I'm saying there are no issues. Also, the game has updated a few times since I had initally played it on Windows. So yeah, Proton works wonderfully. 100% would recommend using Proton
The game is fill with bugs.
"Don't worry Supperstar, you can still access the Pizza Plex at any time. That is if the game doesn't crash.... Occationally."
Used Proton-GE, but didn't try standard Proton or Proton Experimental. Runs at a steady 60 fps at Medium (1280x720) and didn't try higher settings.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1
Pausing when the FPS is low can cause the audio to not stop when the game is paused. So if Freddy is talking and you pause, he would finish his sentence before stopping.
Changing between fullscreen/windowed can crash the game sometimes.
Playing at 720p or higher cuts FPS to 20-30. Have to use 480p to get reasonable FPS.
I can't get more than 20FPS without cutting the resolution down to 480p.
Game can lock up steam requiring 'killall -9 steam'.
*** The game won't launch at all if you are running it from an EHDD/ESSD. The game will only launch if its installed onto a SATA/NVME internal drive. Not sure if "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1" makes a difference or not.
I bought this for my sister, and it's an unplayable mess from the beginning.
Significant performace loss while in fullscreen
Couldn't move camera due to mouse cursor being on screen.
Unplayable mess at 1440p
Hits 60 pretty often but sometimes you can drop frames but it's not that noticable, played with low settings at 720p
I set visual quality to low and resolution to 720p to save power and gain stability
if you cap to 30 fps the camera sensitivity slows and input lag feels slightly worse than it should, still very playable and no bugs that aren't in the windows version as far as I can tell, will keep testing this one but it's amazing so far
It works great. With a few issues, but these are barely noticable.
Sometimes in the camera system, the framerate is capped to 1 to 5 fps.

Runs just as it does on Windows.
Not sure if it has to do with the most recent patch, or moving the it to an SSD, but the game runs absolutely flawlessly (for Security Breach).
Game appears to work just as it did when I had used Windows. There are some issues but those are related to the game itself and happen when ran in Windows too. I don't see anything out of the ordinary when playing using Proton. I haven't played it too much under Proton so there could be issues I haven't seen yet.
Game played out arguably better on Linux than on Windows, however, in some areas such as the bit where there's water in the first few minutes of the game down the stairs, heavy glitching and artifacts can be seen.
Game does not launch on Proton 7+ (including custom runners such as GE)
The game opens, and the opening cutscene plays, but gameplay does not start.
The game does not open on Proton Experimental, and the initial menu is not visible. On Proton 7.2-GE-2 it opens, and the opening cutscene plays, but it blackscreens as soon as the cutscene is over, or upon skipping it.
Does not run. tried troubleshooting, nothing works
Mostly worked well - at ones stage we had to reduce the video settings (quality and resolution) to get pass a laggy point involving security cameras

It runs good on the Low settings!!!!!!!!!
I think it was more of the games shitty coding making it break but my mouse would just not work in the menus or in game. My mouse was on top of the game.
Game is very half baked and needed to be pushed back

Works well with some bugs that also occur on Windows.
I encountered no issues with the game both on a RX 5500 XT and a 3060TI and with RTX on and off. This was a surprise to me to be sure. Any bugs that I ran into also happen on Windows, so not an issue with Proton.
it is a bit leggy but that is the same as on windows
some sounds are missing i noticed that all from the wet floor sign are not present
if you want to have less graphic bugs use -d3d11 in the launch options

has some issues keeping fps consistent through out larger parts of the game, though my hardware maybe to blame. lol runs alright
Proton-6.21-GE-2
Some, I guess, materials freaked out for example: some water, and the ball pit floor materials, stuff would turning to to black spikes changing to -d3d11 helped
Some parts of the map would cause my game to lag; using cameras causes the game to lag a lot, to the point of needing to restart; moving objects like robots causes the game to stutter a bit
this only really happens when the game is chugging on cams to me

DX12 is not supported
DX12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument.
Anybody knows what I need to do to fix on my Ubuntu 18 (Linux) desktop?
Due to the graphical glitches visible and obstructing many objects, it would make it difficult to play.
Random black lines and boxes appearing and filling the screen making it difficult to pay attention and play
Mouse acceleration wasn't constant and would result me running into things
Random lag

Does not start
Proton-7.0rc3-GE-1
Does not start

Closes instantly.
Tried Proton Experimental, 6.3-8, and the last two GE versions.
