Windowed mode had a lot of lag, fixed when using fullscreen.
As others have mentioned, renamed BorderlandsGOTY.exe to Launcher.exe in [GAMEPATH]/Binaries/Win64/
Getting around 20 fps on Low settings w/ GTX 1070 (compared to ~50 fps on windows). Not an enjoyable experience.
Getting around 50 fps on Low settings on Windows. Around 20 fps on Low settings on Linux.

Game runs very well. Usually 60+ fps. Occasional stuttering or low fps doesn't happen often enough to ruin experience.
Sometimes get around 40 fps. Usually 60+.
Able to play game from start to finish. No crashes. Performance generally very good. Occasional lag in some levels.

Run the game in fullscreen borderless
Default proton had tons of stuttering and occasional freezes
Ran the game with Proton-5.21-GE-1 (https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases). Added DXVK_ASYNC=1 to environment variables to fix stuttering issues found with default proton.
Used Mod Organizer 2 to install 48 mods (mostly visual / quality of life) and played through the entire game + DLCs with very few issues.

Game engine itself seems to be slowed down. Frame rate is fine, but all animations, jumping, moving, cutscenes play at half speed.
Stuck on Blank Screen at Launch
As soon as the game launches, it get stuck on a blank screen. Had to force kill the process to exit. It worked perfectly fine on my desktop, but doesn't work at all on my current laptop. Tried different version of proton, turning off WiFi (heard there were issues with WBPlay), validating game files, etc. Nothing could make the game launch.
Works great with Proton-6.1-GE-2. Initial launch after install takes a really long time (see Kangaroo's report).

Blank Screen on Startup, Can't Access Menu
Launched game and got a blank window. After a few seconds, I heard the menu music, but couldn't interact with the window at all.
Mouse was acting weird (wasn't being captured by game) in windowed mode. Works fine in fullscreen.
Occassional stuttering when things were loading or got intense, but doesn't detract from the overall experience
Constant crashing or stuttering. Issues with corrupted save files.
Every time I load the game, it says the saves are corrupted. If you try to delete a corrupted save, the game crashes. Hitting continue playing seems to work fine though.
Game ran at really high FPS most of the time, but constantly ran into stuttering.
Couldn't play for more than ~5 minutes without running into a crash that required me to kill the process.
Only minor stuttering issues. Mostly resolved using fullscreen mode and vsync off. Excellent performance for my hardware.

At the start of the game, some of the environmental sound effects in cutscenes were out of sync with the video. This was mostly resolved later in the game.
Game would open to a blank screen and nothing would happen
Couldn't even load into game, even after disabling ubisoft connect's in-game menu.
Plays like a native game with default proton. Getting 75+ fps on Ultra settings 1080p with GTX 3070 Max-Q.
Xbox One controller works really well.
