I found that i had to go into winecfg and emulate a desktop i set a resolution of 1080p oyherwise i wont get ibto the game just a white screen some stuttering music and the game would quit.
its "fullscreen" in the emulated desktop do i play the game in a window even at 4k resolution.
only Stability issue i had was playing without an emulated desktop via winecfg
Plays smooth once its going

Fonctionne parfaitement

Tried setting a virtual desktop with protontricks. Tried editing variables in the game config.
Game runs too fast, setting WINE processor affinity doesn't help.

Works out of the box
Since Proton 9.0-3 the game works out of the box without any tinkering. Just install and play!

Worked out of the box
Worked fine out of the box.

My controller does not work by default.
My controller is not being detected when steam input is enabled on startup. I have to disable it every time the game starts. While in game on the menu steam enables steam input for some reason and then it does work?... I also changed the controls from "Keyboard / mouse" to "controller".
I had no issues with the actual game, just with my controller.

For those that cannot get it to run on startup, where it goes to a white screen and then eventually hangs, the fix that worked for me is:
Go to
game_dir/Save/DisplaySettings.xml and change the field 'Fullscreen' from '1' to '0'

Game always starts in windowed mode even if set to start in full screen. Forced full screen will fill the rest of the screen with black so you need to use the same resolution as your desktop to be able to properly play it.
When playing with both a gamepad and keyboard and mouse the game will stutter a lot when using the mouse, with about 20fps drops. Also, the camera may ocasionally drift until you restart the game.
Some graphics options will make the game run at 10fps instead of 60fps. Also due to the fact that full screen needs to be the same as your desktop, there is a toll on the game's performance.
Sometimes the game just dies. It happens rarely but it does.
Game works fine for the most part, but it has some issues overall (mentioned above). My suggestion would be to play it from start to finish using the keyboard + mouse combo, as the gamepad has some issues and some mini-games cannot be properly finished with the gamepad.
Could finish the game and all aditional content. Game may occasionally crash, so save after every mission.

It was really nice. But for some reason, when I tried to play the game when I had two monitors active, the game windows would bug out.
If I had two monitors active when launching the game, it was forced to the right side of the monitor
I figured out that after launcing the game, I could re-enable my second monitor.

Works out of the box
Great game. Finished tutorial and the early parts so I haven't played deep enough but the game runs well

I completed the main story including DLCs at 100% with no issues. Experimental is needed for now if you want to play in full screen without a white screen when starting the game.
It starts in windowed mode 1280x720, need to upscale the resolution to play in fullscreen
O jogo abre com uma tela em branco e com o som de inicializacão de fundo

Similar issues to other reports.
gamemoderun gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -r 144 -o 30 %command%
As with other reports, game starts flickering white upon bootup, but after alt-tabbing a few times I was able to see the main menu but the resolution was all borked. After switching back to 1080p it started flickering again. Tried launcing with gamescope but upon starting the game it wouldn't even run anymore.

-dx11
It starts in windowed mode 1280x720. Options>>Requiered resolution.
Need to add -dx11 to argument or it does not start.

Runner options --> wine version --> Proton 6.3
Game works like a breeze after some tinkering and configuration -Game has an issue launching in full - screen --> launches to blank white screen -My solution for this was to use ctrl + alt + up,down, left, right arrow keys to create a new work space. - Then drag and drop the game into the new workspace which usually works, however there were a few times i had to repeat the process --> Full screen works
Game can't run in 2560 x 1440 even on an rtx 2080 super - fps = 25 Game runs flawlessly at 1080p at max settings after the tinkering above - fps = 60+ I believe Radeon users can utilize gamescope as a work around for this as well.
-Game initially launches into a blank white screen with nothing but the music playing or freezes -Have to move the window to a new workspace as a solution -another soution is to set it to windowed mode
2560 x 1440 resolution tanks fps even on a powerful card Game launches in full-screen causing a blank white screen until switching the game to a different work space Only works with older versions of Proton 8.0 or later
in order to kill the program i had to use ctrl + alt + f4 or f5 or my system would freeze and I'd have to occassionally reboot
Game runs great and smooth at 1080p & isn't to major of a work around. However if you want ease of use for your everyday consumer it needs to be improved upon

Not working with multiple Proton versions
Tried multiple Proton versions including Proton GE 9-4, Experimental, 9.0, 8.0-5, and 7.0-6. I get a white screen sometimes and nothing happens, sometimes hear a little of the menu music then freezes.

TDP 10w, GPU 1000
Text Size is small
Forgot to note you have to have to use proton and proton 7.0-6 worked for me. If that doesn't then try another as it took me 4 versions until I got somewhere with this

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
Added F10 to select button long press
just testing tdp right now. Battery life is still decent though
Use sd render tweak. You drag files to game directory AND ALSO REPLACE THE EXE INTHAT DIRECTORY WITH THE ONE ON "ReadMe" section of github. Someone recommended 35 txt size and it looks good
Not far in but I hear issues with cloud save. i'm only writing for subtitles

Game gets stuck on white screen
Tried Proton Experimental and some other proton versions but none of them work. I get a white screen when trying to run the game

60hz/60fps for 4 hours playtime on SD OLED
Text/UI is small, not scaled well. No option to adjust

Loads a white screen or a blue screen and loops sound
tried the xml file, tried GE-Proton versions, tried Proton Experimental and older Proton versions
Unable to launch the game and view the menu. Only hear the menu music :/
Force Close

Runs great out of the box with default Proton.
The game runs great with no issues.

Some text are slightly smaller, for example the subtitles.
Great game for the Steam Deck

gamemoderun gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -f -r 60 -o 30 %command%
Sadly this game does not run on steam deck

gamemoderun gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -f -r 60 -o 30 %command%
Without the specified launch options, I faced a weird issue where the game launched into a white screen (with game audio audible), and then my entire system froze after around 10 seconds. 5 seconds post that, my display went blank (monitor reported no signal), but some music I had playing in my browser continued playing. A hard reboot was required.
No able to lunch the game!

gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -r 120 -o 120 -f %command%
Gamescope launch options are required to run fullscreen

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
Installed Render Tweaker mod to set subtitles size to 35.
Back grip buttons as BX, AY, touchscreen off, right trackpad as mouse and left click to precisely change the values in the mod configuration menu, and long press View/Select as F10 to bring out the mod configuration menu.
Had to use the touchscreen to accept the terms of service of something at the first time launch.
By default subtitles are really difficult to read however after installing the mod it's perfect.
Some very mild stuttering can be felt by default however it can be fixed by setting the frame limit in-game to 60 and setting it to off plus allowing tearing on the Quick Acess Menu.

Here's the mod I used, read the installation guide carefully, and make sure to scroll down and "Save Global" once you've made your changes to keep them. Making the subtitles too big can make it so they get cut out, however 35 seems like the sweet spot. I haven't seem them get cut out at the point I am in the game, but if they do you can just make them a little smaller.

Marked as "Unsupported" but is an utterly unimpaired experience.

gamemoderun MANGOHUD=1 gamescope -W 2560 -H 1440 -f -r 60 -o 30 %command%
Use in-game vsync. Install gamescope and amend the launch options resolution and fps to your preferred settings. Toggling fullscreen / borderless in-game crashes many people's PC's from many reports I have read. So adjust graphics but leave fullscreen and borderless alone.

Utterly unplayable
After launch the screen flashes white and freezes my entire machine.
