Need to rename AoK HD.exe to Launcher.exe. Works perfectly with this tweak. Mods from the Steam workshop also work.
Runs fine, but changing settings in the options menu causes game to crash and can make it unbootable. Delete Bayonetta folder in My Documents in the Proton prefix if game becomes unbootable.
Only runs in 800x600 resolution or lower with DX renderer. OpenGL renderer crashes on launch. Cutscenes do not work.
Cinematics don't play. About 1/3rd of game window is cut off, making it unplayable.
Works perfectly out of the box, solid 60 FPS on max settings.
Played through entire game. Had to disable Steam controller configuration for PS4 controller, same issue for all Proton games.
Worked perfectly before last Steam update, played through the entire game. Now, will not launch at all with any Proton version.

Worked perfectly before last Steam update, played through whole game. Now will not launch with any Proton version.
Install the game through Steam, but don't launch it. Install vcrun2017 with:
WINEPREFIX="<PATH_TO_STEAM>/steamapps/compatdata/570940/pfx" winetricks -q vcrun2017
Works perfectly including cutscenes, no other tweaks required.
Note: For Ubuntu 19.04 users, you might first need to update package manager's winetricks with sudo winetricks --self-update
In older Proton versions, sound did not work without tweaks. Now, it works perfectly out of the box.
Runs fine, but has this Unity engine bug causing the mouse to move incorrectly at low speeds: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42631
Runs perfectly out of the box. Played 17 hours with all DLCs installed. No issues whatsoever.
Excellent performance, but crashes frequently. In-game visor is grey for a few minutes after starting game.
Launches with WINED3D11 option, but most fonts are invisible.
Audio starts crackling after 2-3 hours, needs game restart to fix. Shader cache stuttering and visual bugs are severe and lasts longer than most games (first couple hours). After you get through that, it works perfectly.
Gets through the first few loading screens, but freezes at main menu with only cursor responsive.
Named bosses don't spawn, and class is not selectable. Can't progress past first quest.
All parts of the game work normally, including server browser. Performance is significantly worse than Windows.
Main menu and cinematics work. In-game fonts, cursor, and parts of the UI are missing.
Platinum only for DX9 EX renderer (in options menu). Works perfectly except for some stuttering when shadows are enabled. Crashed one time in 12 hours while playing around with graphics options. DX11 does not work.
Running perfectly with DX11 all settings high, no tweaks or launch commands required. Turn off multithreading in options menu to avoid crashes. Played up to Act 3 without any crashes. Shader cache stuttering is bad but resolves itself after a while.
Works same as Quake. Recommend using a source port - you can even use the Windows version of Darkplaces or Quakespam and replace the old .exe to launch it from Steam.
All parts of the game are working. Each map, effect, character, and cosmetic will cause severe stutter until shader cache is generated. After that, there is still abysmal performance and frequent stuttering, but it's the same on Windows.
Need to join multiplayer games via external server browser (ql.syncore.org). Offline with bots works normally.
Works better than on Windows 10. Campaign map lag bug is not present in Proton. Widescreen and mouse sensitivity bugs are still present, same as Windows.
Install protontricks (https://github.com/Matoking/protontricks) and run "protontricks 489830 faudio". Works with mods with the regular exe, but SKSE64 caused some weird glitches.
Had to disable Steam controller configuration for PS4 controller, same issue with all Proton games.
Fonts missing on initial configuration window. Button to launch game does not appear.
