gamemoderun %command%
Returning to world/menu causes FPS to drop to something like 1-2. Changing settings in-game as well.
The game's achievements are lame. Missing counter.
gamemoderun %command%
Some achievements are unattainable, regardless of OS.
Excellent game
3 players total, I hosted the game.
gamemoderun %command%
audio stops playing if the game is paused for too long and does not return later
Crash if returning to game after alt-tab
See stability issues
Can't load savegames. Makes the game completely unplayable. Saving, exiting and then loading after an in-game day has passed makes the game insta-crash to desktop when loading the savefile. 100 % crashrate.
Short test. Seems to work
Seems to be 0 audio
Can't say I played the game. Only wanted to test it out if it worked on Linux.
Great game, especially for those that don't game a lot.
Played with 2 xbox 360 controllers. Most mapping were correct but got hardlocked because of the incorrect ones. Solved using $ sudo xboxdrv --daemon --next-controller
See solved controller issues.
Works flawlessly
sudo xboxdrv --daemon --next-controller for 2 xbo360 controllers split controller also worked fine
Works great on Steam Linux Runtime.
Had zero audio on earphones until I fixed it with the software PulseAudio.
Klei is great.
Old game => low resolution. I have a large screen but playing windowed works fine and nothing is blurry.
The game is completely unplayable currently with my setups. None of these issues perists loading the game on Win 10 using the same PC.
-vulkan gamemoderun %command%
Not always up to sync with graphics.
Mouse extremely laggy.
Without -vulkan launch the menu clogs the whole PC. With -vulkan the menu is loadable, slight performance issues, but game is still completely unplayable and significantly stuttering.
I've also tried launch options "GE-Proton7-20", "Proton Experimental", "Proton 7.0-2", "-forced-vulkan" and "-forced-vulkan gamemoderun %command%".
Crashes too frequently
Crashes when playing a standard game. No clear cause why.
Tried .../config.ini/maxSimulatenousThreads=24 to combat random crashes. This made the game not start instead. Cannot reverse the state of the game by reversing the default =8 for some reason.
This game requires more CPU fan utilization that Satisfactory does on high settings
Crashes randomly. Replayed the same turn three times and it crashed 2/3 times, but not during the same movement. Cannot reproduce crashes but they're everywhere.
UI interface scaling does nothing.
I've got 350 hours on this PC on Windows without a single crash. I've got more crashes and failed starts on Linux than played hours. Changing compatability to older Proton version, say 6.3.8, did not help.
taskset --cpu-list 0-7 %command%
~/.local/share/Aspyr/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/config.ini maxSimultaneousThreads = 8 change 8 to actual number of threads This alone didn't help though.
Loading scenarios is surprisingly slow
game itself needs no tinker. used protontricks for mods + skse
--launcher-skip
Game may freeze when starting a game of gwent.
Too slow to load (ok), clear flicker whenever camera is moved (not ok).
Horizontal flicker in the middle of the screen, from edge to edge whenever moving the camera.
Game starts up fine but one has to start it twice. Loading saves and maps are incredibly slow.
Crashes
Crashes whenever you start a battle or the prologue
Works out of the box
xbox360 controllers: sudo xboxdrv --daemon --next-controller
