Works perfectly.
Works great out of the box, I just use some tinker steps by default to eke out any performance gain I can.

gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Runs natively and without any problem out of the box.
Works perfectly

gamescope -f -w 2560 -h 1600 -r 165 %command%
I could not run without GameScope due to using wl-roots (Wayland) in Sway

Added radial menu to easily access the various overlays.
Audio sometimes starts crackling after unhibernating
Performance steadily decreases as more of the map is revealed. Can be mitigated by installing the FastTrack mod.
Native support works with zero issue whatsoever.

The font appeard to be wrong on level selection text. Very minor issue.
Essentially perfect, possible minor font rendering issue on one screen.

everything is perfect but the game dose not restart
when prompted to restart from either crahses (from mods not becuase game is buggy) or for configureing mods it dose not restart and only exits. this fetures works on windows. it's kinda annoying but nto a big deal

Native, flawless experience
Doesn't stop me from starving my colony
Games has native support, no tinkering
Works perfectly nativ for me

Runs beautifully
Thank you Klei for respecting the Linux gamer community :)

Works perfectly on proton
...unlike native, where the colony overview graphs/charts don't show up. Bug report for linux graphs not showing up: https://forums.kleientertainment.com/klei-bug-tracker/oni/colony-summary-graph-lines-dont-render-r21028/
works ootb
Works out of the box

Works if you don't need to see your charts
Charts in colony overview don't display
Hopefully it's just me with the chart/graph graphics bug.

gamemoderun %command%
Works well out of the box
Wroks great out of box

When changing mods, the in-game restart function not work on my platform. Manually re-start is required

Runs perfectly
I had about 750 hours of play under Windows before switching to Linux and adding another 250. I was pleasently surprised to find the game ran more smoothly under Linux. I've had one crash to desktop under Linux but I've had a couple under Windows so I assume that's the games fault.

Works out of the box with sometimes a small and fixable annoyance.
Sometimes the fullscreen is offset with a blank menu- bar on top of the screen after starting the game. Fix: Go into the ingame graphic settings, switch off fullscreen, apply, switch on fullscreen, apply.
Works really well and with good performance. No issues besides the occasional graphics-problem at startup.
Native version works out of the box

It works without problem.

Crashes every so often, but other than that runs fine

Preferred to be played with Keyboard and Mouse (Via Bluetooth or Dock) but is definitely playable with a Custom Deck Controls Layout.
Target FPS: 60fps locked with a 1 to 2 frame loss when there's alot on screen.
Pickup & Play: Yes
User Experience: Fantastic, very fluid and no confusion.
Pros: Works as it should!
Cons: None here!
Final Thoughts: When I first got my hands on the Steam Deck back in July 2022, this was actually one of the first games I tried to see what the user experience felt like. Most of my experience was played in desktop mode with Keyboard and Mouse using the Steam Dock. The reason I preferred desktop over Gaming Mode because I noticed a familiar small bug where the mouse gets boxed in an invisible square forbidding to move outside it. This bug has been fixed and is no longer an issue. Playing handheld still isn't my preferred choice but the doesn't mean it's not possible, infact it works perfectly fine as a Pickup & Play with occasional peeks at the Steamdeck Controls Layout.
Overall: 10/10

Cannot get it to work natively on my intel + nvidia hybrid laptop, runs fine on the igpu but crashes when i try the dgpu.
Forced the use of proton and it works fine with the dgpu. Although it makes my entire desktop lag horribly until it fully launches, and that takes around 30-40 seconds. It works perfectly fine after launch though.

In a 300 cycles save, frame rate drops to about 20 in triple speed.
Mods were fine. Although the frame rate statistics looks really bad in the mid-to-late game, but I would c1onsidered it still playable even it's only 15 fps. Frame generation time is solid, no terrible stutters

limited to 30 fps in steam gui.
Very low power draw, good controls support.

Given the nature of the game, unexpected frequent crashes are showstoppers.
On average, the game crashes either itself, and/orSteam, or whole OS every ~5 cycles (which, in real-world time, may vary from 5 to 50 minutes). Very frustrating.

Game runs perfectly fine and the only time it "hitches" is when it's saving at the start of a Cycle
GE Proton is my default in Steam, but the game is completely playable with Valve's own Proton.
It works without problem. Just download and play it.
If audio does not work, switch to PulseAudio.
