Had to install mesa-vulkan-drivers:i386. Game crashed quite often. Had to repeat many fights because of that (some of them more than once or twice). That might not be a Linux-exclusive problem and appears to be quite common on Windows as well.

Game didn't start. Found a dxgi error log in the Blackguards directory stating: "DxvkInstance: Failed to create instance". Found a solution on this website: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/wiki/Common-issues. Had to manually install Vulkan drivers for Ubuntu: libvulkan1 (was already installed), libvulkan1:i386, mesa-vulkan-drivers, mesa-vulkan-drivers:i386. After installation played through the tutorial without problems.
