Artifacs
I played the game from the start to the end including the DLC. In the game base, in a couple of levels, artifacts appear when there are huge explosions. In the DLC also happens but difference to the game base the artifacts get stuck in the pause screen. To fix this I changed from default proton (proton7.0-3 in my case) to GE-Proton7-28. Omiting the artifact problem the game works great at stable 60 fps with high graphics settings.
Runs flawlessly. Slow loading times on NTFS drives.
There are some performance problems but it is probably games fault not protons.
First I tried to use it with Proton 5.0.9 it crashed but changing it to work with Proton 4.2.9 solved the issue.
It plays well if you have this version of the game.
Crashed maybe once or twice in my time playing it.

Playable from start to finish, maybe with some frame drops here and there. Level 3, 4 and 5 do not load correctly when you come from the previous level, having to restart the game to load them properly.
Game works out of the box on Proton. I installed manually D9VK and it worked fine with this DX9 to Vulkan translation.
