Disabled game's debug logs as described here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1941669393 Disabled motion blur as described here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1936395067
- Disabled motion blur because it only makes things worst (i.e. too much blur)
- Disabled debug logs because it generated too much logs and reduces game's performance.
Both issues listed above are also present on Windows

Added config options as described here
I could never get more than 30 fps, but it was still playable
Sometimes the inventory key didn't work at all, so exiting and reloading was the only solution. The problem with this is that when I reloaded I got to the latest checkpoint, not the place I last saved manually

Disable logging (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1941669393) and disable motion-blur (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1936395067)
On the first run, performance was unpleasant (17ish FPS), on the second run it ran way better (high 30s) with all settings on Epic except Anti-Aliasing.
Had a crash once when I reloaded a checkpoint, don't know if it was a bug in Wine or in the game itself
The teaser is badly optimized, remember to tweak the ini files for a better (yet not the best) experience.
Runs out of the box
The demo is poor optimized and it drags the performance down. It is exactly as on Windows. After tuning the engine (a.k.a. disable motion blur and the stupid log) the game runs very well.
Worked perfectly for me, I was able to play it from start to finish without a single issue
20fps on low settings
Added lines to config as mentioned by KaesDingeling
Some minor insignificant artifacts e.g. in the character menu.
50-70 fps no matter the settings, also the graphics settings are partly reseted at restart.
Added lines to config as mentioned by others.
No more than 25 fps without changing config files. Other settings did not affect FPS at all
Finished the teaser without any issue
May be
With low graphics preset game shows 5-10 fps.
Played with Proton 7.0-1.

No tweaks required to run with proton 6.3-8
I experienced very low frame rates basically unplayable until I made the changes to the "ini" files mentioned in previous posts which made it a bit better. This seems to be more an issue with the game probably requiring more demanding hardware than a problem with proton itself. As it is, it runs out of the box with no tweaks required.

The performance issues make this unplayable.
It was only getting 2 FPS and had a massive performance issue.

The game works without any customization, but with a poor frame rate. After the adjustments, the problem is fixed.
Proton-6.4-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
No video scenes work
For more FPS the following lines must be added to these files:
- ./steamapps/common/THQBCNP1/GothicRemake/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/Engine.ini
[Core.Log] Global=off LogInteractiveProcess=all off
- ./steamapps/common/THQBCNP1/GothicRemake/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/Settings.ini
r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=0 r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0
Thanks for Igor
Other big games like Witcher 3 run fine, but this game stutters unplayable

The game runs stable, but the remake is more demaniding on the hardware as one might think (30-50FPS, 1080p).
Loads the second last save when I die (not the most recent one).
The graphics settings are partly reseted at restart.

generally playable
menu elements not visible
generally playable, but very demanding on hardware
very demanding. in 1080p and medium graphics settings only 7 fps. not playable with this GPU
Gothic Love Works Perfect.
~15 fps or so
In-game menus need Media Foundation to display correctly.
Artifacts are associated with TAA (anti-aliasing). It must be of a high value so that the artifacts become insignificant.
You need to disable logs. They greatly reduce performance. Find this configuration file: ./steamapps/common/THQBCNP1/GothicRemake/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/Engine.ini
You need to add these lines: [Core.Log] Global=off LogInteractiveProcess=all off
The game crashes some time after the game is minimized.
Be sure to disable DOF and Blur! Find this file: ./steamapps/common/THQBCNP1/GothicRemake/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/Settings.ini Add these lines: r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=0 r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0
It's only a teaser, so overall verdict is OK. If you are searching for super smooth performance, don't play it :)
Insignificant issues, you are able to play and don't care
Graphics quality have to be lowered down to get a playable performance.
Performance was very poor, had to put everything at minimum to stay between 20-30 fps
I'm having a lot of performance issues. It's not fun.
I was checking performance on the same hardware, and they were able to play with 30FPS, for me it was an unstable 20FPS with a lot of drops.
Crashes after intro finished. Also the intro is stuttering

Media Foundation (https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install)
Hair doesn't look right. In-game menus need Media Foundation to display correctly.
Pretty low FPS, but playable on low settings
Except for graphical glitches everything worked out of the box
Some missing textures in the Inventory screen
Game looks nice, it is indeed playable, but frames drops aren't good for anyone.
All of the graphics in tutorials were white. Same for background in the inventory.
Game sometimes don't respond to changes between windowed and fullscreen mode.
Game various framerate between 144 FPS to... 0. It can freeze for even a full second!
Frames drops.
Disable motion blur and DoF in the Engine.ini file. Much better experience. Also Marvin mode works in this game too.
The game needs Media Foundation (https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install)
Game runs at 40 FPS on lowest settings.
Media Foundation is needed, otherwise there are no tutorial videos and it's even needed for the ingame menu background.
it works
Unplayable for me.
Game was a complete slideshow.
The bad performance paired with the graphics bugs don't paint a pretty picture. But you can definitely play through it just fine at low fps
Game will crash unless you disable esync by putting "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%" in your launch options
hair is pretty messed up, textures also have a weird pop in effect to them
Performance is apparently bad even on windows because it's a prototype, I have just over the min specs and I'm getting 30 fps with everything on minimum
