strange alt tab behavior. you are alt-tabbed by fact, but the game is still covering the whole screen.
but if you have 2+ monitors you can simply drag the game window with meta + lmb
runs with proton 5.0-5
couldn't alt tab at all
a bit audio crackling in main menu while hovering over menu lines
game doesn't start
tried this set of commands: PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_LOG=1 PROTON_OLD_GL_STRING=1 WINEARCH=win32 %command%
also this one: PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%
it just won't start
tried all available proton versions till 4.11-9, got an error after launch

very slight tearing on top of the screen
after the death game goes to infinite load, while it loads very quick at first game start.
i've tested 2 proton versions, if you are going to do so, keep in mind, that you need to create 2 DIFFERENT 'run' files for different proton versions with this guide: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/forum/topic/441
with launch option set to '__GL_ExtensionStringVersion=17700 %command%' tested on proton 3.7-8, 3.16-9, 4.2-9, 4.11-3 also tested on same proton versions without any launch options. none is working (steam shows the game is running but nothing happens)

32 bit version has texture glitch, game works only with 64 bit.
add this to launch options:
-64bit +set com_allowConsole 1 +g_fov 100 +logfile 0 +fc maxcachememoryMB 1024 +vt_maxPPF "16" +vt_pageimagesizevmtr 16384 +vt_pageImageSizeUnique 16384 +vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly 16384 +vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly2 16384 +com_skipIntroVideo 1
without these options i have 1m 30sec to load each location on 64 bit version.
with these, time reduced to 5-7sec
constantly crashes every 15-20 min

Go into "SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Sacred 2 Gold/redist/PhysX" folder and copy the "PhysX_9.10.0513_SystemSoftware.exe"
Paste the executable into "SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Sacred 2 Gold/system/" folder.
Rename the file "sacred2.exe" to "sacred2.exe.old"
Rename "PhysX_9.10.0513_SystemSoftware.exe" to "sacred2.exe".
Run the game from Steam and let the PhysX installer run and install it.
Go back to the "SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Sacred 2 Gold/system/" and rename (or delete) the "sacred2.exe" dummy file and rename the "sacred2.exe.old" back to "sacred2.exe".
Launch the game again and it should run.
