Runs perfectly OOTB
Over 70 hours os gameplay, no issues at all. Runs like native.
Works perffectly fine

Works flawlessly, although I only played for about 20 hours into the game.
Controls would stop working or lock into modes not intended to be constent. Controller would disconnect and not allow reconnect. Would lock into Free Run and not allow to come out of it. Keyboard and Mouse had it's own control issues. It would switch to a charactor and not have any way of switching to another charactor. It is interesting to note I have not yet experianced these issues on steam deck, only on main PC. But on Main PC due to control issues, it pretty much requires Auto Mode combat, turning the game into nothing more than a visual novel.
The game runs well on Steam Deck. It kept a locked 60fps at near max settings, even at lower TDP (Between 8 and 11).
Lowering Steam Deck TDP to between 9 and 11 for increase battery life (Around an extra half to full hour) without much Performance loss in-game.

Works out of the box
Previously it didn't work, found this to be caused by amdvlk being used rather than radv (vulkan-radeon). After switching back to radv, many games I had issues with will now load as well.

The external screen will cause the game freeze when entering. Sometimes use only one screen can solve the problem.
Use 6.3-8 can get it run. Nice game, good gaming experience if you like the Tales series.
Works flawlessly
Works great out of the box
Disable Steam Input to get Playstation controller glyphs
Proton-6.20-GE-1
Using Logitech F310 or Steam Controller, the game wasn't consistent with button prompts. Most of the time it gave me XBox glyphs as expected, but at times gave me Playstation or keyboard glyphs for some reason.

Proton-6.19-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.19-GE-2
Everything works correctly, there's just this weird inconsistency in button prompts. Using the same gamepad the game has at different times displayed Playstation glyphs, XBox glyphs, or keyboard glyphs.
Runs well until it crashes, and it crashes often
Controller keeps disconnecting randomly, and when it happens, the game ask you to reconnect the controller just before crashing (Tried with Dualshock 4 controller and Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in both wired and wireless mode)
Some stuttering
Broken, stuck on a white screen. Tried proton 6.3-6, 5.13-6 and 5.0-10 with no luck. Running on an AMD RX 580

If you want to play on a gamepad, just make sure it doesn't disconnect, and you should be fine.
(dwm user here) I can't resize the window, so slstatus is mostly hidden by the game window.
When the controller disconnects and connects again, the games doesn't seem to recognize it, and then crashes.
Works with no problems.

Crashed at startup initially
Made it through the splash screens and then it asked me what language to use, I made my selection and it immediately crashed on newest version of Proton. Forced it to run in 5.0-.10 because most of the reviews here used that version and it works perfectly.
It's alright overall. You can probably get used a dropped frame here or there.
Game runs at stable 144fps on my 144hz screen, but there are frame pacing issues compared to a windows installation. The experience is a bit choppy.

Was not able to get the TVFix patch to work. Game simply would not run once I added the files, and it didn't matter if the game was set to borderless or windowed. Dug deeper and found an error regarding POWRPOF.dll but even once I added the newest version of the dll (needed an override as well) the game still would not run with the patch installed (but the POWRPROF.dll error was gone). Needs further investigation and testing
This game ran perfectly out of the box. Was able to run at 1440p@165hz, but the steam overlay marked it at 300fps.
Game runs perfectly. All crashes fixed in dxvk 1.5.2
No issues at all. Runs perfectly out of the box.
runs perfect out of the box. no tweaks or mods.
With proton 5.0 the game now plays perfectly without any graphical issues.
Works always with a speed of 60 kl fps. See gameplay: https://youtu.be/LWNIjkL_PjU
I got crash under Proton 4.11. WIth Proton 4.2, it worls greatly.

Other users claim this game is running out of the box without any issues on hardware that has Vulkan support.
This game crashes immediately on my hardware if this launch flag is not used.
Installed Special K Tales of Vesperia Fix from https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SpecialK_Mods/discussions/18/1744483505466992619/
Also disabled vsync (0) in the games settings.ini and enabled windowed mode (1). (after launching the game I was able to set it to borderlessmode (2)
Game would crash right after the company logo's if the windowMode line in settings.ini wasn't changed to 1(windowed) or 2(borderless).
Mouse seems to act weird in menu's. Might be because of the borderless mode. In-game there don't seem to be any problems and all menus can be navigated by keyboard.
I haven't tested any controllers.
Works great
One of the rare games where I never considered installing native version.

Played the entire game with an DS4 without any problem

Started out of the box - Got a black screen for some time, heard broken audio for a secound and than the game crashed.

No tweaks needed, runs perfectly out of the box on Proton 4.11-3

No tweaks necessary; everything worked out of the box. Performance wasn't great, but this was a test for the Intel iGPU rather than dedicated graphics - maxing out graphics options at 720p (fullscreen/vsync) still netted 30-45 FPS in fields and 60ish in most battles.

An amazing game that just works perfectly on proton. I played with a steam controller and the game at max settings at 1440p 144Hz. The fps dropped off in a few areas, but never dipped below 60 (I had a similar problem on Windows). As far as I am aware the mod SpecialK does not work, but the game seemed to run just fine.

Nice work out of box.

no tweaks needed

Very slight controller issues. For some reason I'll have to load game initially with mouse, because cursor keeps jumping. Also there was issue after controller disconnected and the very few choice boxes (like the ones in dice game) didn't register controller inputs anymore properly.

Full playthrough with Steam controller (72 hours) at 1440p high. Everything ran perfectly, and the game didn't freeze at all (my previous report was borked due to the game freezing right at the beginning).

Works out of the box on Ubuntu MATE 18.04.2 LTS and Logitech F710 works properly. Total play time of 30 minutes. Game play video here --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVPOqo3wOA0

Completed the entire game with Proton from start to finish. Runs at stable 144 FPS at 1440p with all graphical options set to maximum except anti-aliasing.
No graphical issues as far as I can tell.
The game has a few minor issues: the game is finicky with the DualShock 4 controller: if you unplug it and plug it again during gameplay, it will act as if one of the buttons was stuck. There were also rare issues with audio playback (an ambient audio track seems to continue looping for longer when it shouldn't). These issues could also happen on Windows, but I haven't checked.
The game also has post-processing blur that looks ugly at times: the blur could be disabled with a 3rd party mod bundled with Special K. Unfortunately, that mod doesn't work with Proton.

Runs perfectly fine. Even reaches 60fps at 1440p with low settings. 60fps 1080p with higher settings.
