The major issue people had was the cut scenes. using GE Proton 19-14 with the game launch OpenGL option displays the Cut scenes as intended.
the restof the game runs smoothly even without changing to GE Proton

graphic seems to be slightly out of sync for blue area in the intro video
The intro doesn't show with native setting. You can still skip the intro even if it doesn't show up. Changing to Proton experimental doesn't fix the problem. Changing to Proton 8.0-5 fixes it.

The intro works fine, but I recommend skipping it after the first time.
I was able to connect to the multiplayer server listings but did not attempt to join a game, since I have never played before. Theoretically joining an online game should just work.
Didn't try multiplayer yet, but so far it runs great out of the box
Trouble loading into coop games on ocassion
Runs native
As long as you don't miss the intro cutscene, and can create a multiplayer match yourself (if need be), you're good.
Could not join a private multiplayer game by accepting an invite from a Steam friend. Were instead able to host a private game of my own, and succesfully invite my friend.
Just start the game with the "Play Wargroove (No Intro)" alternative, and everything seems to work fine, beside the multiplayer issue.

Runs fine when launching with the "skip intro". Didn't have to change config files.
Runs natviely.
Videos like the intro have a green border on the underside.
The game defaults to full screen which crops a large part of the image. Disabling full screen and changing resolution to 1280x720 yields better results.
Works adequately once display options are tweaked. Does not support native resolution. Features full controller support.

cd ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Wargroove/linux_bin; LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:." %command%
Found no issues
Sur ma configuration le jeu fonctionne très bien et ne necessite pas de grosse ressource.
Une fois l'intro du jeu supprimer, il se lance bien et fonctionne correctement.

Works OK after adding the `--skip-intro` flag. Crash on campaign outro, but majority of the game works fine.
Must add --skip-intro
to launch options
Video playback crashes. This happens with the intro (can be skipped with --skip-intro
) and at the end of the main campaign (crashes, but progress is saved).
Note that there's a native Linux build too, but it's sadly worse than the Proton experience:
- Also crashes on videos
- Crashes on cutscenes (a lot more frequent than videos, game breaking)
- Fullscreen doesn't handle toolbar on Plasma

Native version has now been fixed, https://steamcommunity.com/app/607050/discussions/0/2794999575661691797/#c3128289956328647283
Ran it with --skip-intro in the launch options. It immediately closes and does not even show a window or any sign of function.
--skip-intro must be added as a launch parameter in Steam. Otherwise the game will not launch/crash.
Runs fine after adding "--skip-intro" to launch options. Steam Cloud is broken, but savegames can be copied around.
--skip-intro
Steam Cloud doesn't work
Pretty quiet and ignorable, but occasionally mildly annoying.
--skip-intro must be set in launch options, otherwise the game crashes with an unhandled exception on launch

Workaround required
You need to add the launch parameter "--skip-intro" to run the game.
Force the use of Proton and use the --skip-intro parameter - works like a charm after those steps.
Force steam to use proton and add --skip-intro
to the launch options (steam tries to launch the native version by default).
You need to force the game to play with Proton and add the --skip-intro launch option.
I had to use --skip-intro
and I had to force Steam to launch with Proton. According to the Steam forums for Wargroove there is a partially working native Linux version that is shipping but it isn't working. Because of this you need to force it to run in Proton.
--skip-intro dans les options de lancement, et forcer l'utilisation de proton dans les options Steam pour le jeu, ensuite tout fonctionne
%command% --skip-intro was set in launch options to get the game running
A bit of crackling (could be caused by pulseaudio latency)
Game works perfectly on proton 5.0-7,with --skip-intro as start option
Game immediately closes, even with "%command% --skip-intro"

Started but nothing happened
I added the --skip-intro as the other options suggested. I went to run it from the command line (Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files) to see the error and found these errors printed:
ERROR: ld.so: object '/home/adam/.steam/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored. ERROR: ld.so: object '/home/adam/.steam/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored. /home/adam/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Wargroove/linux_bin/wargroove: error while loading shared libraries: libsteam_api.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
But the libsteam_api.so file is present in my linux_bin folder.
I can't remember whether I used the OpenGL option (which people have suggested I should use), but after re-installing it, the choice of whether to use OpenGL didn't come back. I'm not sure how to reset it to make sure I'm choosing OpenGL.

Game doesn't open
Process start and immediately close.
add --skip-intro to steam launch options
Was able to get fullscreen by disabling fullscreen and setting resolution to native screen res

Used "%command% --skip-intro" in launch options.
Fixed by changing to windowed and back.
Works for me since Double Trouble update.

`--skip-intro` option didn't make the game boot, opengl or not
There's a default Steam Linux Runtime option now but it's just an empty depot, you need to force steam to use proton

Ate all of my RAM, then crashed before starting
--skip-intro did not work, nor did launching without it work I tested proton versions 3.7, 3.16, 4.2, and 4.11 with and without gl/intro skip, the game never launched gl or not didn't seem to make a difference

Excellent game! The game needs the start option "--skip-intro" no matter which operating system you use...
slightly "choppy"
"Steam Cloud" broken

Does not run with the --skip-intro tweak anymore, regardless of the version of Proton.
%command% --skip-intro made the game crash instantly, but with --skip-intro only it tried to start, froze the computer for a second and crashed
