Both native and proton work with no problems
Both work fine, the only thing I have to note here is that the native build is version 1.6, but the proton/windows build is 1.7, so the native build is a version off. If you wanna use mods, make sure you use the proton build instead.

Works perfectly in Proton. Use it over Linux native.
The Linux version has a broken secret at the end of the game.

Update: Native version is fine, proton is better
The Native build does not appear to support refresh rates >60Hz, also have seen other reports that the Native build doesn't give the achievement for reaching the top of the mountain. For these reasons I would recommend Proton over Native.

Flawless on Native and Proton
Have seen other reports that the Native build doesn't give the achievement for reaching the top of the mountain. Haven't done it myself but I switched to Proton just to be sure, no issues with either besides possibly that issue.

Switching resolutions in the settings menu borked and froze the display. After forcing the program closed and re-opening, it did use the settings I specified.
After reaching the top of the mountain, you will be unable to connect to the reward.

Not good when browser is open
It is playable without proton, however it won't keep track of wins or connect to end secret without proton enabled

Despite the achievements, I had no other problems and I can recommend playing the game on Linux.
The game doesn't register achievements on native version.

Native version sometimes launches, sometimes doesn't. Acheivements also don't work in the native build

The native install got stuck on a black screen after the menu. I had to force proton experimental. It worked great then.

Native version only runs at 60hz, can't connect to the chatroom at the end of the game and possibly has a rare softlock that was patched on the Windows build.

It plays so much nicer with a mouse, I just couldn't enjoy it nearly as much with the Steam Deck pad

To me the game never was about getting an achievement, but I am sure a lot of people will be turned off by not being able to get them.
[SPOILER] At the end of the game, after the credits, the game doesn't let me access the chat with the message "unable to contact chat server getting over it"
Going through certain areas for the first time will make the game drop some frames which can make you slip. This happens everytime you restart the game.
Game crashed once when I clicked on the screen before the menu loaded
Didn't get the achievement when I beat the game
Finished the entire game, although I didn't ride the snake.
Some further information about my system: Running Gnome 44.2, on an Nvidia laptop, with the entire xorg session being rendered using the Nvidia card. I also have my laptop hooked up to a second external monitor.
Mouse was kinda slow so i had to increase the movement
you can also feel the pain with Linux :)
Runs perfectly, as you'd expect from a native title.
Works great.
Didn't have any issues playing the game. It runs perfectly.
I have played this game a fair bit with mouse and am pretty comfortable with it, using the trackpad controls on the Steam Deck I was able to make progress but it really felt like learning the whole game again from scratch - and I ain't gonna do that!
That said, I think it is a bit harder than with mouse but I believe the game can still be beaten with trackpad controls and practice.
If you work for multiple hours to get over it, and then not get the achievement for getting over it, it is rather infuriating
Upon beating the game (two times to be sure) it wasn't connected to the internet so i could see the Ultimate Reward, and it didn't give me the achievement for getting over it (twice.)
Audio degrades when streaming to Steam Link. Audio remains fine on the Deck, it only degrades on the Link.
Pogo-ing is difficult with the analog sticks, but otherwise I've been able to get from start to Orange Hell using the sticks exclusively.
Set mouse sensitivity much higher than default otherwise it's impossible to play with the trackpad
Connecting a USB mouse doesn't work, your range of motion is limited to a 90° range in the bottom left. Wasn't able to fix this issue
I got over it, on Linux!
Game runs flawlessly! Not a single issue, although I've still not actually 'got over it' yet... :(
If you like pain, it works.
Runs perfect both native and with proton
The mouse was too slow on a native version, no issue with Proton. Looks like it's caused specifically by the mouse I used
Old Save data didn't transfer from other pc
I've used Proton instead of native because in native I couldn't change the refresh rate.
I've used Gamemode to solve the performance issues.
just worked, no bugs. (btw you need to enable proton for this to use the anjo2 modpack)
Runs perfectly native and under proton
Significantly different mouse tracking than under Windows. If you've gotten used to playing this game on Windows, you may have to retrain yourself a bit.

Sometimes when you start the game, fall from a high place, or just randomly while playing the fps drops significantly, can only be reverted by restarting the game.
Black screen before the start of the game usually disappears after ~5 seconds, but in proton it goes away after ~30+ seconds

Runs like the current Linux beta, but will not play the end reward video due to Widevine DRM in Chrome Embedded Framework. Developer is planning a Native Linux version, currently in beta (Beta code: "nakedmaninapot", beta branch "testing")

Same performance as windows (i.e. slightly stuttery). Mouse control feels native.
