Aside from a blurry UI, it's very playable
UI is blurry and pixelated at either compatible resolution, even with 200% render resolution.
Aforementioned blurry/pixelated UI
Run great, natively or proton
Consumes 0.5W less when run through Proton as opposed to Native.
Proton version does not respect any resolution/windowed settings. Same settings absent from Native version entirely.
Some graphical glitches encountered only during final phase of final boss fight (sprites not displaying, final transition through time not displaying correctly)
Significant frame drop every two seconds, amount varies per area (worst in Guardia Forest)
Consistent crashes before, during, or after most FMV cutscenes except opening cutscene (about a dozen FMVs across a playthrough)
The FMV crashes and frame drops make this experience very subpar. Cannot be played start to finish exclusively on the Deck - needs either downloaded saves or to play through the FMV scenes on a Windows PC.
Got to main menu, but not to gameplay
Intro cutscene is just black (with sound). Afterwards, leads to a never-ending loading screen.
Runs flawlessly
Text is small but not unreadable. There's a larger ingredient font option under Gameplay
Game timers are based on FPS, which is expected to be 60. Game is easier on lower FPS settings.
Runs great, totally viable
Audio degrades when streaming to Steam Link. Audio remains fine on the Deck, it only degrades on the Link.
Pogo-ing is difficult with the analog sticks, but otherwise I've been able to get from start to Orange Hell using the sticks exclusively.
Unable to download any subscribed mods from mod.io.
No problems encountered
Some text is a little small but still very legible
Only minor problems encountered
No ability to zoom in on objects with text on them. Not required for gameplay.
Some buttons in the settings menu do not display. Some texture flickering in-game
Some small problems with textures. Otherwise fully playable.
Correction to previous report
Game timings (movement and bullet speed) are FPS dependent, so lowering FPS or refresh rate makes the game easier.
No other problems encountered
Runs mostly well, unfortunately it's delisted on Steam
Has a settings launcher that needs to be navigated using touchpad or touchscreen
Occasional unexplained slowdowns (a couple seconds every couple hours)
Game timings are mostly based on FPS with an expected FPS of 60. Uncapped FPS can make the game more difficult if connected to a high refresh rate monitor, capping FPS to 30 or 15 generally makes the game easier with a few exceptions (timed switches and Vokh, mostly).
