Cursor doesn't account for the title bar when the window is maximized. The issue doesn't exist in fullscreen or any other window size, including a few pixels off of maximized in any direction.
gamemoderun %command% -threads 12
Weapon skins sometimes appear red in player inventory and "[Player] killed you with [weapon]" dialogue.
Native executable has no taskbar icon. KDE Plasma displays a generic X11 icon in its place.
Native version only runs at 60hz, can't connect to the chatroom at the end of the game and possibly has a rare softlock that was patched on the Windows build.
--enable-speech-dispatcher
After setting up speech-dispatcher + espeak-ng, speech synthesis test buttons in the BIOS and new save creation work but the game fails to detect it and uses the fallback option anyway.
not marking GLQuake issues because most are here for the 2021 game
- Quake Enhanced (2021) just works.
- GLQuake [called Quake (original) in launch options] launches as a black screen, tabbing out and back in fixes this.
- Message/console text is invisible in GLQuake. Installing Windows fonts did not fix this.
- Winquake doesn't have any issues but lacks a launch option. If you want to play Classic Quake either rename Winquake.exe to glquake.exe or add it as a non-Steam game.
won't launch OOTB because it ships with a 2021 release of GZDoom that depends on an older version of SDL 2.
- Install the latest release of GZDoom. It's on the AUR and there's a .deb on the official website.
- Browse local files and open the script called Shrine in a text editor.
- Replace ./gzdoom on the last line with /path/to/gzdoom. For me, it's /usr/bin/gzdoom. Optionally add -iwad ./shrine.ipk3 to the end of the same line if you're seeing an iwad selection dialogue at launch.
Switched to GZDoom v4.12.2 . See my report on Shrine 1 for instructions.
Fullscreen borderless doesn't hide taskbar and equivalents. Regular fullscreen works as intended.
prime-run %command% -novid
It didn't launch ootb. Proton launched it in insecure mode (i.e no VAC). lib32-gperftools made it run on integrated graphics.
Unlike on Windows fullscreen covers the entire height of my screen but moving objects have visible bounding boxes. Windowed mode is normal.
Unmarked native build
It has a native build where the executable is inexplicably named VampireSurvivors.exe, I checked by starting it from a terminal emulator
prime-run %command%
Loading a save briefly switches the game to windowed mode. I fixed this by turning off fullscreen in settings then adding a KDE window rule to force fullscreen.
Autosaves sometimes crash the game
