I've played the game from start to finish, and I've 100%'ed it. No crashes, no slow downs, no glitches.
Works perfectly out of the box

Works Great!
There's a weird prompt on boot about DLSS support that you can just click through and ignore.

Game runs great!
Game runs great! Got fps between 80fps and 110fps with settings at high, raytracing disabled otherwise i lose alot of fps. The game ran butter smooth, like i whas playing it on a Windows machine.

Game runs very smooth on Pop! OS 22.04 with all settings set at high.
After 90 minutes of playing the game has huge fps drops, i have read on the internet that other users have the same issue. It's a bug in the game that is not fixed. Overall my fps mostly hits 90-110 fps and rarely goes to 80fps. The gameplay is super smooth, i really did not think this would be possible in Linux. The game runs as great as on Windows 10/11.
Proton 9.0-4 used for this game.

Works well. Keep in mind that you need to keep steam overlay enabled otherwise game will start stuttering after 20-30 minutes of gameplay

stepping on landmine in onslaught level crashes the game
occasional crashes but i guess its game issue and not proton

Runs smoothly
I had a great time playing this game on Linux. I did experience a single crash, but it only happened once during my playthrough.

Works fine
The "Your GPU doesn't support DLSS" is annoying but no significant problem.

Excellent
Before launch an info window pops up talking about how my GPU doesn't support DLSS, however after clicking "ok" twice it lets me into the game. Weird but not a hindrance.
No problem getting this going whatsoever
On medium settings runs very well. Joystick sensitivity is low by default but can be raised.

Medium Settings with High vegetation and Postprocessing gives a good 40fps lock for most gameplay I have tested.
Popup about incompatible drivers comes up. You can use the touch screen to click the ok button or press enter key*.
Controller inputs not registered until you get past the first two intial menu screen. Use on screen keyboard to hit enter key to get past the menus. Native controls work no problem afterwords.
I recommend using one of the four rear buttons and binding it to the enter key. This will let you get past the driver screen and initial menus without needing to use the touchscreen or on screen keyboard. I would also enable gyro on holding the right stick. Makes precise aiming much easier.

I did have to bring up the on screen keyboard to press enter, no other issues.

После установки префикс wine имел версию ос Win XP, при этом игра при запуске выдает ошибку. После замены на Windows 10 все заработало без каких-либо проблема включая RTX

On default I got the info about missing drivers and DLSS, game wouldn't even run. Switch to older Proton 7.0-6 – then it works just fine.

Idk man. Game works. Only crashed once. Performance was decent enough.
Works out of the box. Played with everything on medium and locked the framerate at 45FPS with native steam deck resolution.
You could also put vegetation and post processing on high and lock at 40FPS if you prefer. 50/60FPS are not stable enought even when everything is on low. The game have stutters when you reach a checkpoint, this is a problem that is also on windows, regardless of how powerful the hardware is.
After playing the first two missions in one go, I couldn't load the save game.
Nor was I able to start a new game after the first play session.
Tried loading a the savefile and starting a new game after setting the quality to the lowest to no avail.
protontricks --verbose 1715130 --force vcrun2019
you need to install protontricks and use the command in terminal with "sudo"

Worked OOTB no tinkering

Old game, the remasterization is not crazy but it do the jobs

Won't start no matter what version of Proton I use
protontricks --verbose 1715130 --force vcrun2019
I tried protontricks --verbose 1715130 --force vcrun2019 as many other recommend, but it did not help. I've tried every version of proton steam shows as available, as well as several GE version. You click Play, it flashes and goes back to Play. The game just won't start. IDK what to do to get past this point. Crysis 2 and 3 work perfectly. Crysis 1 remastered won't start.
Only tried GE-Proton7-41, but the game installed, launched and played without any issues.
Works perfect with Manjaro and GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile
If you want dlss, its on dx11 use: PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
Difficult to aim properly without gyro, controller aiming feels a little sluggish in general
Drains the battery a bit at 60fps and using traditional controller inputs isn't ideal, but it's absolutely beatable.

The game performed with almost insignificant differences in my distribution for windows 10 in graphics options on High (29-31 frames), on Medium it runs 60 fluid frames.
Runs really great, I haven't played this game till now because it didn't run fine on Windows, but on Linux it worked flawlessly.
WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_STRENGTH=2 %command
It works great on Proton Experimental and Proton 7 as well, but I have used GE in order to use FSR, which helped me with the performance since this game is very intensive, and it worked really nice on ultra using FSR.

They would enjoy on a lower than "Can it run Crysis?" setting due to jitter and stutter. I did not expect this with my expensive setup.
Jittering stuttering frame time sequencing
Was unable to map certain buttons on my mouse to actions, Logitech G502
With "Can it Run Crysis?" settings and everything set to highest, no experimental RT, motion blurr 'on'. FPS dips below 60 and many times drops to 30s.
Some of the enemy NPCs would float when far away without animation then come into walking or running animation when closer or after some time.
The expensive setup I have is running Liquid Devil Ultimate 6900XT on unleashed setting with a Ryzen 5800x and 64GB RAM Coupled with custom optimised kernel for zen3 and latest Mesa. I expected to run the highest settings without a hitch smoothly above 60 FPS at least. However that said it is still playable as it is consistently above 30 FPS (like consoles).
