Game works incredibly well
Some projectiles might be invis? but that also may be a skill issue.....
The issues listed are very very minor and basically is native
Failed to hook the mouse when leaving menu's
Similarly to Tropico 6, some videos refused to play such as the opening movie which would just display the classic SMPTE color bars (I believe it is an issue with unreal engine 4 itself)
gamemoderun gamescope -w 2560 -h 1440 -f %command%
With multi-monitor setups you need to use gamescope or the game window will use the width and height of all monitors combined
Past round 100 a crash would happen on next round about 5% of the time
Game was perfectly playable, just cant use invite links
Gamescope is required and default steam configuration will not launch at all
Works almost flawlessly on proton with only the mouse hooking issue which is fairly easily resolved
Fails to hook the mouse, on multiple displays after interacting wtih chests and such your mouse will be unhooked from the game until you enter the inventory or leave the window and re- enter
Refer to my comments on full screen issues
Just a few hitches during proper gameplay but cinematics are flawless
Connection is iffy, sometimes you are able to play online sometimes you are stuck in offline. Usually a restart can you enable online play. So far if I launched online I have not been disconnected while playing
Works as intended
IF you want to use the fps unlocker it works, just keep in mind the physics break after 90-110 fps (https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls3/mods/614?tab=posts)
Runs better than native
The native version has alot of graphical artifacts and runs very poorly but the proton version solves all of these problem and i noticed a performance increase.
Native runs better than on windows
Only issues revolved around attempting to host from a linux native install, but also only occurred on current patch (1.35.6) but joining windows lobbys worked flawlessly
Runs better on linux with quicker load times and higher framerate at speed 5. Old bugs with DLC linux support have been patched
Game launches and is playable
This game will not launch once so ever if trying to run from an NTFS drive, just format everything to ext4
on a normal install of linux yes
Will turn all of your systems audio robotic if you have 32bit pulseaudio drivers installed and so far have not found a fix aside from uninstalling lib32-libpulse
just remove lib32-libpulse before even touching the game in my case im required to have it downloaded for league of legends but normally is not installed
Work pretty much the same as on windows
Slow loading, probably related to multicore performance issues (common clauswitz issue). Faster single core processors may not notice this issue
Only normal paradox desyncs (wont count this, as windows has the same issues)
Gained roughly 10 fps on 5 speed and around 30 - 40 fps on pause multiplayer issues arent resolved here and desyncs are still decently common
Game runs well but go grab food while you wait for launch
Only performance issues revolved around initial loading (which is an issue if you frequently reload games). The issue resolves itself the more times you restart getting quicker exponentially
Game runs flawlessly outside of loading
Seemed to work fine?
Works right out of the box
Will start in windowed mode which is only an issue on tiling WM's. You will have to finish the tutorial (on a new save) and then change it
It works decently well
Some weird input delay, havent found a fix yet
Aside from weird input delay it shouldnt feel to off from a windows install
When in fullscreen mouse cursor jumps to the left when still. This problem does not exist when playing in windowed mode
Install ProtonGE before hand, in most cases games run better under GE https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases
MangoHud %command%
No problems at all
Only thing of note is some physics bugs, but I believe this is a game problem not a proton problem
Better than native for single player
You can connect to other players but you cannot host a server (out of the box), the only way around this is by using protontricks which I was unable to get working
gamemoderun gamescope -w 2560 -h 1440 -f %command%
Was resolved with gamescope
Also fixed with gamescope
EAC isnt a roadblock here, just some fullscreening issues might get in the way
Uses edge view runtime 2
Game is basically borked unless you wish to install microsoft edge in the game prefix and then install should go off fine? https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=287582 https://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=37905
Just a couple articles that mention the same fix listed above. But if you dont want to go through the process then the game is borked
Mouse input was slightly laggy but this seems to be more of a proton custom cursor problem.
Discord streaming and or watching a discord stream causes a weird system wide lag when the game is running. I havent been able to find a fix (using discord in the browser could be a solution as regular web video works fine)
Singleplayer is flawless and runs better
At a certain point a german unification event causes an irrecoverable desync issue (this could be a common vic 3 issue? but only happened since I have been on Endeavor) (could also probably be forced through)
Runs flawlessly on singleplayer with an fps improvement of roughly 15 at 5 speed and 35 on pause
just be careful with MP (Have a player on Austria and or Prussia)
EAC proton support is enabled
Game runs perfect out of the box and has EAC compatibility
