Worked out of the box (except the standard Gothic 3 Problems). I played 7h without community patch and 29h with.
Played through the whole game, a lot of the cutscenes did not play, no other issues though.
A lot of cutscenes aren't played.
Played through the game, the only problem was getting through the launcher, it worked without problems otherwise.
If you start the game for the first time an EA menu will open, but it is completely blank. You can still click the buttons though, find the steam button (dragging on the blank window makes buttons appear sometimes. The steam button login with steam button is roughly in the middle). Clicking the login with steam button will open a browser window where you can login with steam. The game should start after doing this without any problem.
If you start the game the next time you'll have to delete the following directory ~/.steam/root/steamapps/compatdata/1172380 and start the described process again.
Works like a charm, except for me being unable to change graphics settings
I was not able to change the graphics settings without the game crashing
The game does not have english audio files, so i'd recommend copying the polish ones and add them after setting the game to english again
