Some battles that take a long time can have a bit of fps drops. Nothing serious though.
Happened only when using ProtonGE 9-4. When switch to Proton Experimental it did work fine.

Crashed a few times after changing some graphical options. Though after restarting the game it worked perfectly on Proton Experimental.
Use Proton Experimental. Had some issues when using Proton GE 9-4. Will try it later to see if anything changes. Also, I played the game for a really short time, I will play it some more and edit this review accordingly if anything changes.
Had some issues with Proton GE 9-4. Switched to Proton Experimental and everything works great!
Added battle.net as a non-steam game. After that installed it and Diablo IV. Everything works great. Steam version is probably easier.

Works flawlessly on Bazzite 40 Wayland KDE. And a great game btw.
There was a map that stuttered a little bit, nothing game breaking.
Bit FPS drops on certain areas, nothing too bad though.
The devs are making a lot of hotfixes for performance(optimizations for pc overall, it's not a linux problem).
It has to do with game optimization for PCs, since it also happens for Windows from posts of other people.
Please note that the game is not 100% optimized for PC yet, but in ran really good for me.
Native works great both on Linux PC and a Steam Deck.
Runs perfectly fine both native and proton.
gamescope -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 164 -f -- %command%
I experienced some crashes. Sometimes it happens after a few minutes, sometimes after a few hours, and sometimes no crashes at all.
Without gamescope, the game freezes after a few seconds in the main menu.
I had to force gamescope, without that, the game is stuck in the main menu. Make sure to enter YOUR monitor's screen size and refresh rates in the launch options. the -"f" is for full screen mode.
The game runs good on X11 (from what other people said). It currently stucks on main menu on Wayland with nVIDIA cards.
Game occasionaly crashes using gamescope.
As mention, the game gets stuck on main menu if using Wayland, at least with nvidia card. on X11 it should run smoothly from what other people said.
Either run the game on X11, or use gamescope from steam launch options - gamescope -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 164 -f -- %command%. W and H are width and height of screen (your resolution), r is the refresh rate, and -f is for fullscreen.
will update if and when it'll work on wayland.
Except some minor bugs with game data that happen sometimes, restarting the game helps it.
Really rare crashes. Happened to my Windows friends as well.
Sometimes the game doesn't sync up with what's happening. IE in party, ocassionally it won't show me if my friends got into game que. Also, sometimes the game data doesn't load correctly. Restarting the game fixes it.
Tried it on both Vulkan and DirectX. Vulkan required no tinkering. For DirectX, just switch to Proton Experimental
SP works great on Bazzite 40 on Wayland KDE.
