Fun game for casual pirate game fans and runs well on Linux
Game crashes after opening
No window pops up Steam says its running then it's not
black screen
its chicken shoot so i didnt try anything but it just gives a black screen and sometimes makes the mouse unuseable on gnome 45.3
gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -w 640 -h 480 -S stretch -r 165 -f -e --force-grab-cursor %command% -noforcemaccel -nofbo -noforcemparms -noforcemspd -nomsaa -nojoy
game used to have a broken server browser but after the 25th anniversary update awhile back it works flawlessly
Counter-Strike:Source runs great on Linux
Connecting to VAC servers was flawless
Local servers work flawless
thanks arch
runs better than on windows LOL
tries to fetch a file from archive.org and fails
it tries to fetch a file from archive.org (which is down at the moment with no eta of being back up) during the intial setup as shown while running steam thru cli and it fails and refuses to go past that point without the file
/width=1920 /height=1080
apply launch settings to your resolution. game freezes for a few seconds when alt tabbing back in but will recover.
i had to run -windowed on first launch to get the game to even work without glitching but after that i could change my settings and set it back to fullscreen and its been fine since
weird starting bug but other than it was fine
runs as well as i wouldve expected
about 40fps at 720p lowest settings about what i expected considering the specs
crashed my gnome when i tried to close it?
good game ea is shit though
get around like 60ish fps on windows with lowest settings 100% res scale and get maybe 20-30 through proton 0% res scale lowest settings
game is already poorly optimized and that doesnt help proton much if you can just pass your gpu through to a windows vm and play through there but still technically playable
Won't stop crashing for no reason
I play for about 5-10 minutes then the game just crashes for no apparent reason
