Runs well out of the box
No thinkering needed to play this game. Native version worked well for me. Just download and hit play.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=18 %command%
Small (but slightly noticable) input latency when using a controller
Sporadic stutters
Last time I played this game was on Xbox 360, around 10 years ago. It's great to be able to re-play it with everything in maximum settings. Nonetheless, some thinkering is needed to actually enjoy it.
Works great
Noise during cutscenses
Note: I had problems running the game while using mangohud
. Using MANGOHUD=1
instead solved it.
I thought I was going to be able to play by just pressing "Play" after the download. But I had to got with the "Proton Experimental" version. After that, everything worked normally.
MANGOHUD_CONFIG=fps_limit=48,cpu_temp,gpu_temp mangohud %command%
There was a corrupted game once.
I was able to download and play the game out of the box
If you have Nvidia, the native version works as long as you set up the proper launch options
__GL_IGNORE_GLSL_EXT_REQS=1 __GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=1 MANGOHUD_CONFIG=cpu_temp,gpu_temp,ram mangohud %command%
DXVK_ASYNC=1 DXVK_FRAME_RATE=144 %command%
After adding the launch options, the lag was gone
Works great. I'm running at 144FPS with fully stability.
Create (if it doesn't exist) a file named DisplaySettings.xml in the following path: /home/rafagaming/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/SleepingDogsDefinitiveEdition/data/. Then add the content as described here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/307690/discussions/0/1700542332318710843/
I experienced the white screen issue. I tried moving the window of the game to a new workspace, but it didn't work. I had to create the .yml
file as described above.
MANGOHUD_CONFIG=fps_limit=48,cpu_temp,gpu_temp mangohud %command%
Audio gone after 15 minutes idle.
Great experience out of the box.
I was able to play it natively without any (major) issues
For some reason the game always starts windowed. I can go to settings and set it as fullscreen each time I play, but it's weird that it doesn't preserve that setting.
Great game that runs smoothly in Linux.
