Crashed on the boot logos when using Proton 9. Fixed using Experimental.
protontricks 261760 wininet
and launch options (these may not really be needed, but I'm using them):
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 RADV_PERFTEST=nggc mesa_glthread=true gamemoderun %command%
see launch options above
always crashes on load if not using protontricks wininet.
Bad
Could work with tinkering. But considering steamdeck ux, this is game is not recommended.
Issues found: screen size does not match, having a flickering red background out of bounds of the tinier game screen. trying to start a game, got stuck on new use screen after typing a username nothing happens.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command%
Game won't run without disabling esync and fsync.
Couldn't play, slow to a crawl
Garbage, made with Unity
Game freezes on loading, had to reboot the steamdeck.
Doesn't run
Tried different proton versions, the game doesn't run. The launcher and updater works fine.
Game doesn't launch after install, tried proton versions from 8 upwards to experimental.
Bad
Requires keyboard
Tiny text on tutorials for example.
Can be played using the virtual keyboard, but it is annoying
Stay away with a Steamdeck
Some text are tiny or very hard to read
Game is made with Unity, then at some places instancing the waves of zombies the game froze to 0 FPS for long minutes and the device became extremely hot. Each wave did the same, on the third wave I had to reboot the deck as I feared it to be damaged by the extreme heat.
Unreal default input uses inverted mouse axis, which makes it a non ideal first time experience.
DirectX installer iteraction needed.Then another popup requiring touch after install.
Once mouse axis is corrected and some minor touch and mouse usagw required, the game is playable, but it is a game of another era and keyboard is essential for full gameplay.
Works, but requires input changes
Default settings missing ESC key which can get stuck in some screens.
Better with some tinkering
