As other comments said, you have to delete "DotNet" folder from "[YOUR_STEAM_DIR]/abyss_odyssey/_CommonRedist/", "export WINEPREFIX" environment variable to "[YOUR_STEAM_DIR]/compatdata/255070/pfx" then launch "winetricks xact xna40". I left vcredist folder and it still works. Abyss Odyssey does launch but I get 45-50 fps on a Nvidia 1070 Ti. Only played prologue.
This game requires XNA 4.0. I tried the usual trick: delete XNA directory from "[YOUR_STEAM_DIR]/AURION_GAME/_CommonRedist", click play on Steam to create prefix, "export WINEPREFIX=[YOUR_STEAM_DIR]/compatdata/368080/pfx", then launch "winetricks xna40". I now got splash screen, but game crashes right after. Still borked.
The game launches but hangs or crashes frequently. Graphical options are stuck in medium settings, any change will cause game to hang and prevent to start again. You'll have to delete "system_data" file in prefix folder: ../steamuser/MyDocuments/Bayonetta/ to be able to launch it. There also are a lot a visual glitches here and there. Menu for save/load is not reachable, it does hang the game. Not playable right now.
Just set PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30 %command% in launch options
The game feels sluggish on native Linux version (~30-45fps) even when tinkering video options on low. It works much better with proton (steady 60fps) with everything at max.

Runs out of the box. Game hangs or crashes for me with Nvidia 435.21. No issue with Nvidia 430.50. This game is not very well optimized, I had to tone down anti-aliasing to medium to keep a steady 60 fps.
Run perfectly. Game hangs on quit: have to stop game process manually. Disable tesselation in game options if you're playing with old GPU to improve performance.
Played the intro and walked around the first village. While it's ok during intro, frame rate drops to 15-25fps (didn't find any fix for now). I also had to disable all joypads to be able to play with my Xbox360 wired pad (WINEPREFIX="/home/STEAM-DIR/proton/steamapps/compatdata/367500/pfx" wine control)
Need to add "-useembedded" in steam launch options, or you get back to title screen when you try to launch a new game. Played the entire tutorial without any issue.
Did the tutorial and the first mission. It works flawlessly out of the box.
Use of D9VK. Small stutters when loading new areas.
