Works great out of the box.

Rare crashes sometimes
Perfect out of the box. As a verified game should be. Played for a few hours in couch coop, using steamlink to stream to TV. Everything worked perfectly with no differences from the windows game. It appears as if I don't own the game because we were playing with the account of my girlfriend instead of mine (she owns it, not me), the game is perfectly playable.

Launching with any version so far gives the same result, the game starts to launch as indicated by the Play button changing to blue and saying "X Cancel" and then immediately to "X Stop" and then right back to "|> Play".
However launching via Lutris and using Wine it launches and plays smooth as butter!
Runs like native out of the box
I have not had to fiddle with anything and the game ran smoothly straight out of the box.
Use linux_proton branch of the game (enable Betas in Steam)
My old save game spawned me in a cave. When I left the cave I spawned in the sky, falling to my death.

Recent patch broke the game for Proton, but developers have added a linux_proton branch that you can use.
Crashes when loading with newest update
The most recent update as of 25. June added multiplayer, which I suspect has something to do with the crashes and inability to load. Have tried multiple Proton versions, no luck.
I've played 58 hours and the game always worked fine up till now. Will remove this if/when the problem is fixed. (If you can read this, it's not working.)
CTD after latest patch
Most recent patch completely broke proton compatibility. Game CTDs while loading a saved game or starting a new one and no tinkering seems to fix this issue.
Run perfect on linux
spent most of my time on this game on linux, never had any problem
Played great! Dont let monitors sleep, it seems to crash. Otherwise, no issues!
Stepped away for about 15 minutes and my monitors turned off. It did NOT like that and would not recover.
