As long as you select Windowed, you should not have any problems. Tried various Proton versions as well as Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST.
Same note as before, only Windowed worked.
See previous note, horrible mouse lag that would pause all graphics while mouse was moving.
Unless I selected Windowed 2560x1440x60, I had significant mouse lag that would stop all graphics while the mouse was moving. Tried Borderless, Fullscreen and Maximized window. None worked, only Windowed.
This was for the Demo. I am 99.9% sure that I am about to buy this game... Will update in a few days with the full (early access) version.
Plays great. Cross/Cloud saves may have issues if the run is on-going.
I had a game going from my Windows HTPC. When I tried to Continue that game, it just shows the Loading screen forever. Not sure if this would happen if running originally in Proton.
Perfect so far. Game starts, runs and plays just fine. Will update again if I have any issues.
After playing longer, I works near-perfect. Only issue is KDE Plasma still tries to turn off my monitors when playing with a gamepad (XBox for Windows). Just tap the mouse every now and then.
Played great! Dont let monitors sleep, it seems to crash. Otherwise, no issues!
Stepped away for about 15 minutes and my monitors turned off. It did NOT like that and would not recover.
Using the native 5.13-5, some errors. No cutscenes (no MF) and couldnt progress after cutscene. load 5.21 GE-1 resolved.
Shadows seem to pop in an out a bit unexpectedly.
Played great on my SteamDeck at 60 fps. Was hoping to just drag cards with the touch screen, but using the touchpad was great.
Again, this was on my SteamDeck. My ProtonDB Profile is for my Desktop. I just had to get used to using the touchpad instead of a mouse. Was kinda hoping that I could drag cards like in Slay the Spire. But it was a quick adjustment to use the shoulder buttons for left/right click and touchpad for mouse. There is a very slight DPI problem as in you cant play in your lap and read the cards. But otherwise, great experience!
Running Proton 6 GE-1 and have not had a single issue. Play just like my "HTPC" running windows on the living room PC.
Only remote issue was the music slider. When I lowered Music to ~20% it would just drop off. After leaving the settings menu it was back. Dont remember having that issue on PC. Hardly gamebreaking.
Works OOTB! Only issue I had was alt tabbing would sometimes not lock the mouse to the movement. But alt-tabbing again would fix it.
Aside from the small performance hit and controller L3 issue, works great!
Cant use L3 (push left stick) on XBox for Windows controller. Not sure why.
Just seems like it should run better considering my hardware. 980ti is aging, but still a good card. Running with Beautiful settings, not Ultra. 1440p.
I did use 5.9-GE-5-ST GloriousEggroll. Have not tested with other Proton versions "out of the box". Easy to extract.
Overall no real problems as of yet. Loading on my "HTPC" Win10 machines to try tomorrow... Will update if significant changes.
From my memory on Windows at release, this is still happening. Texture pop in (sometimes has to be in view for 10+ seconds to be updated). Aside from that, uncapped FPS in game with Gsync on in my drivers. No FPS drops, but degraded texture and polygon "improvements" that should load during play are sometimes slow. For instance a rock looking bland at a distance that loads as you get closer. Sometimes looking at the rock for several seconds before it loads to the higher quality version.
I have NOT tried MP yet. I have not read of any issues, but this will be a big factor for me with the latest release of the game. Will update if things change.
Works great but the game itself is a bit buggy (Linux and Windows)
Still getting the pop in but this seems to happen on Windows too. Occasionally you have to alt-tab to get the mouse to work on initial load. I hear this also happens on Windows.
Played MP all day the other day with 2 friends. Crash to Desktop twice on me (but also happened twice to my biddies, so may be Proton unrelated)
Overall works well. Dont let your monitor sleep.
Alt Tabing or Monitor going to sleep seems to cause issues. Out of 4 issues where my monitor went to sleep, I was only able to recover once.
Input lag wasn't horrible considering the type of game this is. But it was definitely a bit lagged.
Crashes after 5 minutes. Mouse lag. Graphics stuttering. Unplayable.
Massive stuttering, horrible mouse lag.
Crashed after less than 5 mins of play, right at the first wave.
Cant play when it crashes after 5 minutes.
Other problems have seem to be resolved. No more suttering, but still crashes at the beginning of the first night.

I defaulted to Proton 6.0 GE, but played perfectly. Seems to be a very little delay in mouse movement not enough to impact gameplay.
I do see some screen tearing but cant be sure it is this game or my drivers/video settings... I hear vsync/freesync/gsync do not like multiple monitors with different resolutions. I played full screen on the 1440p but the game only goes to 1080p. Played fine. Perfectly playable for the bit that I tested.
Early Access, played just fine!
Gameplay itself was fine. But the Main Menu had a video playing that now just shows the color bar test akin to off the air TV from the "old days"
Funny enough, on windows my GPU would max out as if not adhearing to the 120fps limit. On linux, it just works. There was one final "pathing" bug on my units, but this exists in Windows too. Only change is that they move in a group instead of seemingly go around units in combat. Cant tell if graphical or gameplay impacting. I made it to 22mins in my one test play.
Runs fine. Tried Windows Mode for about 30 mins with no issues. No problem with mouse leaving the window. Audio seemed fine. All is well!
