When you select online you have to first set your region in the bottom right corner, otherwise it won't connect
You get the full bad rats "experience"
If i blow up a cat, the game can drop from 35 down to about ~10fps at worst. Wouldn't surprise me if this happens on windows too
crashed every ~5-10 levels
Runs out of the box
Not quite sure, but the performance is maybe about 5% slower than on windows. But it might just be the settings i use
It works perfectly. 100% playable
The game turned black when i moved my mouse to my second monitor. But it goes back to normal if my mouse returns

It just works now. I've tried GE and experimental Proton. Not sure about stock 7.0-2 Proton.
gamemoderun %command%
proton experimental will also works, although my pc turned into powersave mode after 10 minutes if i don't use gamemode, when using a gamepad to play the game.
6.20-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Glorious Eggroll release (GE for short)
Only crashed once in 7+ hours in Proton. So could just be the games fault, not protons.
Every time you first load in game and start controlling your character, the game freezes for ~1 second when you press the wasd keys. Never experienced it in gameplay
Gta Online performance is terrible, locked 60fps in singleplayer, 40-60fps in multiplayer. This also happens on windows.
Seems to work good after about the first hour of gameplay
Framerate sometimes drops to ~55 fps, while being locked to 60 in windows
It works perfectly. out of the box
Crashed once. But i had mods enabled so base game should be unaffected
Mods work too btw.
gamemoderun WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 %command%
It crashed 2 times in my ~15 hours of playtime. Both times when fast traveling somewhere
Game still runs just as bad as one windows, forcing me to use the amd fsr hack to get ""stable"" 60fps at 1440P
gamemoderun %command%
It crashed once out of nowhere and try to avoid using the steam overlay. It also causes the game to crash
Experimental also works as of now
mangohud gamemoderun %command%

When changing the res scaling, the game went down to 5 fps. Restarting solved the problem. Just leave the res scaler alone

Rumble doesn't work with stock proton. For rumble to work, you have to use proton 7.0-ge
It just works
slight performance drops when lots of particles get close to the camera Nothing gamebreaking
The text on the configuration screen looks a bit cut off, although you can still read everything
It works perfectly.
The games consistantly only has ~3 players according to steamcharts, so don't even try go online
600 hours in windows, 200 in various linux distros. Didn't see any difference
If you are on Fedora and don't have any voicelines. There is a workaround in a github forum https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/43 After you've done that and deleted all the sound.cache files in your tf2 installation. You should be able to hear voices again. Note that i only had this problem on Fedora 35. Manjaro and OpenSuse work fine
It's a native game, which just works like a dream
It just works
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
The game runs very slowly when you alt-tab out of it
Stock game is ok. Sometimes the servers are available sometimes not. The northstar mod only works with version : Proton-7.3-GE-1 and after you've deleted the games compadata folder
