I was able to initiate it, but that's when the game started crashing. After that, I couldn't open the game anymore until I added those launch parameters that I listed. Once I did that, no problems with fullscreen. Note: This was on ultrawide.
Without the launch parameters, the game would sometimes not start or crash a few minutes into gameplay. I believe this started becoming a thing only once I switched to fullscreen, but again, launch parameters fixed the issue.
Just like Windows, nothing unusual.
Again, without those launch parameters, you'll experience crashing and won't even be able to finish a match.
Launches and Plays Without Any Issues.
Completely playable, just FEELS like it's hovering more around 45-60 instead of a locked 60.
I had one single crash on Desktop that I couldn't replicate. On Steam Deck, there was a consistent crash on Chapter 5.
Really, this was a perfectly fine out-of-the-box experience. I haven't tried this on Windows, but the problems I experienced felt like regular PC port issues rather than Linux ones. Had one crash, and the framerate doesn't FEEL like a locked 60 (I'd guess 45-55). Completely playable, had a ton of fun, and I played through the game on my Linux Desktop start to finish.
You can tell this isn't made for Linux, but if you are cool with relaunching the game until it starts up, the actual game works.
Generally, the game crashes before it launches. You'll have to relaunch a bunch of times to get the game to run. Once you are in-game, you'll be fine (experienced no crashes once the game launches properly).
Again, once you get into the game you'll be fine, it'll play perfectly. However, launching the game from Steam doesn't always work; in fact, it doesn't work more often than it does. Keep relaunching patiently and it'll be fine. Did NOT experience this when playing the GOG version using Heroic Launcher, but I played that version less often, so who knows?
