It's great for docked mode with mouse & keyboard
You have to type a few things so it's better to use real keyboard
Seems to work perfectly fine
Short enough to not become irritating
Especially mouse clicks were laggy. Keyboard was fine
I had a lot of "problems" with the mouse clicks. It seems like the hit-boxes of the items to interact with are very tiny (like pixels). E.g. if you have to click an in-game button 4 times before the click is registered, that becomes really irritating. You have to "search" for the specific spot... Not sure if that is because of Proton or is part of the game itself
With a physical keyboard and mouse? Maybe. Using the on screen keyboard? Not really, it's just far to tedious to type anything.
Nothing wrong here
Just enjoy!
protontricks 558420 grabfullscreen=y
Mouse clicks would often not register until the protontricks fix was used.
The last episode was laggy in some parts.
With Proton GE 7-43 and a setting via protontricks, both the mouse and the cutscenes worked fine. The last episode was rather laggy in some parts but could be played through. With Proton 7.0-5 the cutscenes would show only a black screen with music.
Mouse can leave the window in fullscreen mode (can be fixed with protontricks 558420 grabfullscreen=y
). Clicks only register around half the time in some parts of the game, which unlike others I wasn't able to fix with virtual desktop mode.
With Proton 7.0-5 videos were completely black.
Works as expected
Needed more buttons from keyboard
Running the game out of the box seem to not register mouse clicks about 90% of the time. Using protontricks to enable virtual desktop seem to remedy this.
F.ex:
protontricks 558420 vd=2560x1440
protontricks 558420 vd=1920x1080
After this the game seem to register all mouse clicks perfectly.
Flipped intro video
it is theoretically possible to play the game, but you would need to click thousands of times.
Intro is either completely black or flipped vertically
only < 5% of all mouse inputs (clicks) are registered
Some (non-essential) videos aren't playing, no other issues
Black screen during intro videos. Also one in-game monitor in episode 4 stayed black.
After selecting the first chapter, music played for a bit, but the screen remained black and I wasn't able to do anything

Mouse-Pointer troubles while in windowed mode. No problems in fullscreen mode though.
Works fine with GE-Proton7-16.
Played through it completely using 6.1-GE-2 with no issues at all. Chapters 2 and 3 had to wait for the music to finish playing, but this might be intended.
Tried first with the default Proton and played through chapter 1, but couldn't progress in chapter 2 since some cutscene didn't want to play.
It's really progressed over the past two years; but as far as I can tell, this game just isn't maintained well enough.
The loading time is unrealistically long for my hardware.
Episodes one and two are playable; but three consistently crashes as it starts. (However, I hear this happens on Windows too; so I'm doubtful as to whether it's a Proton thing.)
Everything works flawlessly except for episode 2 which is unplayable. Probably a video dependancy missing in Proton which cause this issue
Episode 2 is unplayable. There is a video at the start of the episode that never plays and prevents you from playing this episode.
Reticle very, very tiny and often difficult to find even in Ep. 1, which otherwise works. Input inconsistently detected in main menu, options menu, when quitting, and otherwise. Input nonexistent in Ep. 2
Unable to progress past Ep. 1, which worked fine. As others have mentioned, Ep. 2 loads, but no input is recognized and pointer reticle disappears entirely. Positioning pointer over what I guess it the in-game computer's power button by first hitting escape (at which point the reticle becomes visible) does not work. I believe the pointer is not just invisible but unmapped entirely.
Runs and plays nicely. First of the four episodes plays without an issue. Once the second episode loads, the screen goes black for about 10 seconds, then fades in on a scene at a desk, with a computer and a cup - but there's no mouse cursor and typing does nothing, pressing the Tab key, which walkthroughs say is the first thing you need to do to progress, does nothing. Pausing with the Escape key works, and the game can be exited.
Going into "Options" from the main menu gives the option to "Unlock All Levels" with a warning that it's designed to be played in sequence. I was able to start Episodes 3 and 4 this way, and played each for a few minutes but I didn't want to do too much because I want to know what happens in Episode 2 first.
Chapter one worked perfectly; chapter two does not respond to input at all.
Chapter 1 works, didn't test chapter 2
chapter 1 is good, chapter 2 does nothing (input problems?)
Chapter 2 is unplayable.
First Chapter plays well, but 2 and 3 are not
The game works, but although the first chapter can be played flawlessly, I am unable to play the second chapter: I can enter it, be in front the the computer & screen, and then no action can be performed, the pointer is invisible, the tab key has no effect. Exactly the same behaviour than when trying with Wine staging 3.14 + DXVK.
No noticeable issues, ran off Windows ntfs mount
