For some reason the game when I start it with the native Linux port works, I close it and in another session it never opens, I try some version of Proton and it doesn't either, I deactivate Proton and it works.
Removing that and perhaps because of my hardware (performance and possible graphic bugs) it works correctly

Works great with the Windows version and for me had fewer stutters than native, however for me, native was also perfectly fine except a few spawn stutters here and there

Do not use the Native port, it is so much worse, fps goes down by a lot and has lag spikes everywhere. Using proton 8.0-4 seems to work a lot more better and even on the laggiest map (Summer in Cairo) im getting 50-60 fps on 1080p ultra settings

FPS is around 40-60 no matter the settings (low - ultra) with drops to 30s in battle
Tried both native and Proton versions. Both have low FPS for a given hardware. Proton runs slightly better (maybe +5 FPS). I've read some info on the network about AMD new GPUs (RDNA, RDNA2) having problems with old games resulting in low fps and stutters. Maybe it's the case.
На больших лакациях и большом кол-ве врагов сильно падает FPS
Created file dxvk.conf at the game root directory and added d3d9.evictManagedOnUnlock = True. Without it game crashes at start.

Exploring tombs and the Saurian areas introduced some strange lighting problems.
The mouse sensitivity is extreme, I had to add extra launch option to decrease it even further to make it usable.
There were some unexpected stutters, but nothing major.
The game runs great out of the box, but the performance is somewhat strange as the FPS regularly jumps between 80 and 300. If you're not a HRR/VRR gamer, this shouldn't bother you much, but still, this inconsistency results in stutters.

The default configuration is an empty Steam Input layout, for some reason. Switch to default Gamepad layout before playing.
Runs better with Proton than native, but even then performance is lousy. The game chooses High/High/Ultra settings when autodetecting CPU/GPU/VRAM, which seems reasonable given the age of the game. At those settings however, typical FPS is around 40 in light combat and sub-30 during heavy battles. And even with all settings at Low, the game will still frequently drop below 60 FPS.
Controller glyphs are all blank. It supports steam input, but it seemingly doesn't have deck glyphs.
Native has low framerate (30-40 fps), despite low utilization of both CPU and GPU. It also has shader compilation stutter and issues rendering models in the Netricsa (monster log). Proton fixes the framerate issues and model rendering, but has severe shader compilation stutter. That will be remedied in time by shader pre-caching as people play it. Neither version has button glyphs. Tested all three steam Linux runtimes, but saw no notable improvement for the native build. I'm slowly working on a playthrough on Ultra x3 to attempt to build a comprehensive shader cache, so hopefully that'll help others down the line.
Runs as native
i tried to run the game in Native version but it lags in intervolt and unplayable so i had to use proton to play the game beside that the game run fine.
Excellent
works
The game is native and it runs well.

Game works native (only low resolutions available) and on Proton out of the box. I installed manually D9VK, but it had too many graphical glitches.
