Runs great! You have to use touchpads/joystick for mouse - no native joystick support but that's a minor gripe.
Only other gripe I'd give is that sometimes text or important information on the screen is difficult to read purely because of how small the screen is, when compared to a PC monitor, but the game is definitely still playable in spite of that.

Not the definitive way to play the game, but 0 issues at max settings. Game is still best played on Mobile if you're planning to raw dog it on the Deck.
Ran great out of the box with no tinkering. My kids and I are hooked!

For Linux Arch I had to switch back to Proton 4.11-13. Other versions couldn't even launch the game
Runs like native, no issues.

Works with Proton
Short puzzle game that runs just fine. Be aware that framerate will drop when you push the settings - posts in the Steam discussions show that this happens even on Windows. So the FPS drop at max settings (especially AO on) are not due to Proton.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
The game works without any settings, however, the graphics card gets very hot if you do not set the parameter PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% in the game launch options

Works perfectly on with no noticeable issues
Xbox Series X/S controller works without the need for Steam Input
Runs perfectly

When the game loses focus it switches the resolution to the lowest (600x480 or something silly). I worked around this by switching out of fullscreen in the settings.
When the game loses focus it changes its resolution to the lowest possible.
The game crashes on shutdown with the error "GetThreadContext failed", then I have to kill the process.
One crash on exit, but nothing important.
There is no controller support that I could find so you have to use the trackpad as a mouse or the touch screen. I found the touch screen the best way to enjoy it. Played beginning to end without any bugs.
Game works perfectly without any changes. I tryed using the touchpads, but ended up just playing with the touchscreen. Was easier.
Work perfectly with protonGE, which I tend to use by default to avoid most common tiny issues;
Was able to play through the entire game without issue. Used the touch screen, joysticks, and touch pads, and all three worked flawlessly.
Works flawlessly
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
(for correct window mode).
Played with Proton 7.0-1 (and Wine 6.0.2)
Works out of the box. The best puzzle game in my opinion
Works perfectly out of the box.
Played whole game. No problems at all.

Proton-6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.21-GE-2

The game runs out of the box as if it would be Native.
Works perfectly.
Works as if native.
Played with Proton 5.13-6 and PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Fonctionne parfaitement
Todo funciona perfecto
Works perfectly, out of the box
Initial Impressions: The Room Runs Perfect.
I've only dabbled in it for 15 minutes. If there's a change I'll write another report but from what I've gathered, The Room has no issue on Steamplay
