gamemoderun %command% -w 2160 -h 1440 -vulkan
The native version doesn't handle multiple monitors correctly and tries to make the window take up the full size. This is fixed by using the proton version which works out of the box.
gamemoderun %command% -w 1920 -h 1080 -vulkan

When using the native version the game would run in 1920 x 1080 in the middle of my two monitors. This was fixed using Proton-GE.
Use Proton-GE instead of native version.

Native was very buggy, Proton worked well.
Occasionally I would be stuck and couldn't move at all, even though I could still move the camera. Mashing the keyboard actually has fixed that issue before.
Tried it natively first. Game would only open on my secondary screen (apparently, because it's my left screen) and have issues with aspect ratio and resolution as well as not having my mouse point under its cursor. (but rather shifted to the right?)
Using Proton none of those issues mentioned above persisted and it was a decent experience.

Unable to start
Proton version 7 shows a splash screen for ~1 second. Other versions including Native do not boot at all.
Works great

great game! works really smoothly, reccomended!
probably because i maxed out the settings and it was crashing due to overheating (100 celsius+)

Crackling when setting louder than 25%

It works

gamemoderun %command% -w 1920 -h 1080
When running in proton, "fullscreen" wasn't fullscreen but an odd resolution in the center of my screen.
Stuttering alot when using proton, otherwise fine.
Using the native version (for linux) as a client is out of the question, as it complains about a client.dll. The only way around this is for the linux player to host, while the windows player joins.
It seems fine as long as you're 1. hosting coop, and 2. running the native build.
crashes on D3D when using Vulkan, OpenGL works if you're fine if only using 1 screen, though.
-vulkan

The game froze on any levels with liquids using default Proton.

-vulkan
Use proton 7 and -vulkan arguement to fix multimonitor screen issue
use windows version with proton
I couldn't join a friend. The error shown was: ''Counldn't CRC client side dll bin\client.dll'' . I needed to host a game myself to play in coop.

if you dont use the community layout you cant move

-vulkan
With a multi-monitor setup, OpenGL version treats each monitor as one display, resulting in a stretched image. (This happens in vanilla Portal 2 as well)
You can use Vulkan as a workaround. However, community-made mods don't come bundled with a working libmimalloc.so for some reason. Replacing libtcmalloc_minimal.so.4 (/Portal Reloaded/bin/) with libmimalloc.so from Portal 2 (Portal 2/bin/linux32/) allows the game to boot. Other than that, game runs perfectly.

gamemoderun %command%
Few stutters with the Windows version (proton)
Native version only: in a dual-monitor environment, the window opens between both monitors, and in fullscreen I've experienced a bug where the window would stretch as if it was rendering on both screens, but the window is actually on one screen.
Few stutters with the Windows version (proton)
The native versions gives a dll error when connecting to a partner, and it is impossible to invite a partner because of UI input issues. With proton it works fine.
The native versions works fine for singleplayer, but because of the multiple issues noted and the inability to join a co-op game, you should play this game with Proton.

Windows version runs perfectly out of the box.
Had some trouble with the native Linux version.

Game works fine, need to disable raw mouse input if you want to use gyro/mouse touchpads, and change resolution to 1280x800
Game uses odd resolution on first launch, can be changed to native 1280x800 resoultion Using mouse touchpad / gyro does not work at first (screen jitters) need to disable Raw Mouse Input.

-w 3440 -h 1440
Controller bindings are not displayed properly, thus requiring looking through the game menu or trying different buttons
The game provides a small subset of possible resolutions, of which my main monitor is not included, and the game does not start at native resolution. One will need to manually specify monitor resolution in launch options.

A couple of small bugs and initial configuration, but nothing that can't be gotten around
The "Other Timeline View" seemed to flicker depending on the viewing angle
The game launches at an odd resolution and requires touchscreen/mouse input assistance to fix.
When starting up the game, the first thing to do is to change the resolution, which requires mouse or touchscreen input to apply. The game also fails to mention that the time portals are bound to Right Bumper. Slightly confusingly, the blue and orange portals are inverted between the crosshair and the triggers. But overall, game runs smoothly, and after getting around those little details, would be great on the Steam Deck.
Controls on Steam Deck are slightly illogical (icons in center are mirrored for what the trigger actually shoots) and a few key explanations show the wrong key (no controller inputs listed) but it works great

Native was a stuttery mess. With Proton I've made it to the first tractor beam level with no issues so far.

I can't look all the way around when I move the mouse, tried to come out off fullscreen mode and come back like some people suggested, but it didn't work
Sometimes crashes on the loading windows

Make sure to do steam deck updates first, it got more stable after updates

Game Runs Without Issue; Press Y to Apply Settings
Played using an Xbox One controller over wired USB connection. When I launched the game for the first time to change the resolution to match my display, pressing the A button as prompted on-screen to apply my settings did not work; pressing the Y button, however, did.
Could not comment on save games due to playtesting this from the "Start Game" rather than a save file.
-novid -vullkan
As I explained on Portal Stories: Mel, overwrite libtcmalloc_minimal.so.4 with vanilla Portal 2's libmimalloc.so to use Vulkan without crashing on startup.
Runs well out of the box
Game runs fine.
Better than native version, as it is incomplete
Использовал протон 6.3-3

The game works really well, I haven't had any major problems with it.
Very subtle but noticeable input lag. You can get used to it.
Game crashed once, when I went AFK.

Works perfectly with Proton 5.13
You have to use 5.13 since with Experimental everything is black and with 6.3 the game doesn't even start to begin with.
Game worked fine out of the box

Runs flawless with Proton 6.3.2
Since this is a mod, it may require the original "Portal" game to be purchased and installed.

Works perfectly with Proton 6.3-2
I was able to complete this great game without any problems.

NEVER turn on fullscreen, glitches may occur
- Set launch option:
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% -safe
. - Open game, turn off fullscreen, save & exit.
- Remove the
-safe
option, and enjoy your play!

Performs very nicely, everything works
Works perfectly in proton 6.3-2
